While the core of the fight remains similar, Atlas holds back nothing in the second, more difficult encounter. His philosophy is simple: overwhelming force. He relies on devastating physical attacks that can easily one-shot unprepared party members. The key to victory isn't out-damaging him initially, but outsmarting him by controlling the flow of battle.

Atlas's Devastating Attack Arsenal

Knowing what Atlas can do is half the battle. Here’s what to expect when you face him:

• Brutal Melee Swings: Standard hits dealing 115-150 damage.
• Desperate Attack: A critical hit that can deal a catastrophic 250-350 damage to a single character.
• Smashes Down From Above: A area-of-effect attack hitting your entire party for 100-150 damage each.
• Musters Every Last Ounce of Strength: A self-buff that dramatically increases his damage for several turns. This is a top-priority threat to remove.
• Assesses the Situation: A wasted turn where he does nothing—your opportunity to heal or buff.

The most dangerous combo is a Desperate Attack followed immediately by "Smashes Down From Above," which can lead to a near-instant game over.

• Dazzle (Perona): Blinds him, causing his powerful physical attacks to miss. For the second fight, ensure Perona has the Duplic Hat (found in a Rippleport chest) to double her spell casts.
• Puff Puff (Perona): Another excellent option to charm him and steal his turn.

2. Buff Your Hero for a One-Hit KO
Your main damage source is a fully powered Hero.

• Have Perona cast Oomph on the Hero to double his physical damage.
• The Hero should use Muster Strength repeatedly to build up his attack power. For an even greater boost, hold the charge button when your health is in the yellow.
• Once fully charged, unleash Demon Demeanor (or Multifists) to exploit his weakness. A properly prepared Hero can easily deal over 1,200 damage in a single blow.

3. Survival and Recovery Tactics

• Healing: Always have Multiheal or Omniheal ready, especially when Atlas's health drops into the yellow and he becomes more aggressive.
