How To Farm Special Alloys in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

Here are the most efficient methods for acquiring Special Alloys:

Raid Brigand Camps: One of the quickest ways to obtain Special Alloys is by raiding Brigand camps. Similar to MULEs in the first game, you can approach these camps with stealth or engage in combat to clear out hostiles. Once the area is secure (or you've snuck past guards), you can enter their tents and loot postboxes to collect a significant supply of various materials, including Special Alloys, metals, ceramics, and chemicals.

• Respawn: If all enemies are incapacitated (knocked out, not killed lethally), the resources in Brigand camps will restock after a few in-game hours or days. Full clears (knocking out all enemies) will result in a longer inactive period before new materials and enemies repopulate.
• Location: The Savanna Mine area, situated between various Brigand camps, is noted as a "goldmine" for Special Alloys within these camps.

Restore and Utilize Mines: This is arguably the most efficient and consistent method for farming Special Alloys.

• Unlocking: Early in the story, Sam will receive an order to repair a specific mine. Completing this order (e.g., Order 13: Restore the Monorail and Deliver Special Alloys to F1) will enable you to interact with that mine and others discovered later.

  • Mine North of F1: This is a major mine that produces Special Alloys and is part of the main story progression, unlocked relatively early after reaching West Fort Knot.
  • Savanna Mine: A smaller mine also producing Special Alloys, found in a hilly area central to the Data Scientist, Motherhood, Mechanic, and East Fort Knot facilities.
• Exchange Limit: The maximum amount of Chiral Crystals you can exchange for Special Alloys in a single transaction is equivalent to 480 kg of Special Alloy. You can upgrade mines further with additional material investments to increase their production yield and speed.

  • Reinforcing Safe Houses: Upgrading your own or other players' Safe Houses requires a substantial amount of Special Alloys. A fully upgraded Safe House (Level 3) notonly increases durability but also expands its capacity for recycledmaterials, potentially offering a steady stream of other resources.
  • Building and Upgrading Ziplines: Expanding and improving your zipline network, especially upgradinganchors to higher levels for increased range and durability, willconsume large quantities of Special Alloys.
