How to Unlock the Coffin Board

You’ll obtain the Coffin Board blueprint after completing Main Order 29: Recover the Coffin From Armed Survivalists Base. This mission becomes available after finishing Main Order 28 and is part of the main storyline, so you can’t miss it.
Once completed, The Mechanic will join the Chiral Network and reward you with the Coffin Board fabrication plans as a Level 1 Connection Reward.

Unlike other vehicles, the Coffin Board is treated as equipment, meaning you can fabricate it at any facility, shelter, or prepper station—no garage required.

How to Use the Coffin Board

Once fabricated, you can load the Coffin Board onto a Pickup Off-Roader or choose "Offload" to ride it immediately.

Key Features & Controls

• Ride: Press Square (PlayStation) / X (Xbox) to hop on.
• Steer: Use the left stick.
• Accelerate/Brake: Triggers (R2/L2 or RT/LT).
• Boost: Press the left stick (L3).
• Dismount: Press Square/X again.

Unlike other vehicles, the Coffin Board cannot be stored in a Private Locker or Garage. However, you can leave it on the DHV Magellan’s deck, where it will remain even after fast travel.

Battery & Charging

The Coffin Board runs on a limited battery, which can be recharged by:

• Sunlight (parking it outside)
• PCC Generator (portable charger)

Using the Coffin Board Outside the Chiral Network

If you want to take the Coffin Board into uncharted areas, hold Square/X to attach it to Sam. This lets you drag it behind you, but it will consume Chiral Crystals over time.
