How to Construct a Jump Ramp in Death Stranding 2

To unlock the Jump Ramp structure, your progression in the main story and your connection with a specific facility are key.

Deliver to Heartman's Lab: You must complete Main Order 23: Deliver Tar Magnetite to Heartman's Lab. This facility is located southeast of The Dowser and east of Twin Valley Mine in Australia. You'll likely encounter challenging mountainous terrain on your way there.

Connect to Chiral Network: Upon successfully delivering cargo to Heartman's Lab and connecting it to the Chiral Network, you'll begin to establish a connection with the facility.

Achieve 1-Star Connection: Once you reach a 1-star connection level with Heartman's Lab, the structure data for the Jump Ramp will become available. This typically happens as part of completing Main Order 23.

Along with the Jump Ramp, unlocking Heartman's Lab at 1-star connection also grants you:

• Extra Battery Lv.1: A helpful upgrade for Sam's equipment.
• Safe House blueprint: Another crucial structure for resting and preparing in the field.
• Cliffhanger (Music)
• 20 APAS Points

Requirements to Build a Jump Ramp

Once the Jump Ramp blueprint is unlocked, constructing it in thefield is relatively straightforward, provided you meet the necessarycriteria:

• PCC Level 2: You must have a Portable Chiral Constructor (PCC) at Level 2. The PCC Lv. 2 is unlocked by completing Order 21 in Chapter 6, "Rescue the Dowser's Friend from the Armed Survivalists."
• Chiral Bandwidth: You need to be within the Chiral Network and have a sufficient amount of Chiral Bandwidth. A Jump Ramp consumes 550 Chiral Bandwidth. Chiral Bandwidth represents the network's capacity to supportstructures; expanding the Chiral Network by connecting facilities andpreppers increases your available bandwidth.

Construction Process:

Enter Chiral Network: Ensure you are in an area covered by the Chiral Network. You cannot build structures outside of it.

Equip PCC Level 2: Access your inventory and equip your PCC Level 2.

Select Jump Ramp: Browse the available structures from your PCC menu and select the Jump Ramp.

Position and Angle: Choose a strategic location where the ramp can help you cross a gap, ascend a steep incline, or clear an obstacle. You can press Square and Triangle (on PlayStation, or corresponding buttons on other platforms) to adjust the angle of the ramp, optimizing it for your desired trajectory.

Finalize Construction: Once you've positioned and angled the ramp to your satisfaction, hold R2 (on PlayStation) to finalize and build the ramp.

The in-game description for the Jump Ramp states:"A structure that allows you to leap through the air. It uses chiralcrystals to increase your buoyancy, extending your air time whileensuring a safe landing. Press Square when the special action iconappears mid-jump to perform a special action."

How Jump Ramp Works in Death Stranding 2

Once constructed, the Jump Ramp does exactly what its name suggests: itpropels Sam (and any attached vehicles like the Tri-Cruiser bike) intothe air.

• Launch: Drive or run onto the ramp at speed, and Sam will be launched high into the air.
• Special Action: While airborne, a prompt to press Square (or the corresponding action button) will appear. Performing this input triggers a unique special action or "trick" mid-air. This can sometimes extend your jump distance, provide a small boost, or simply execute astylish animation. It also helps with a safe landing by utilizing chiral crystals for buoyancy.

The Jump Ramp is not only apractical tool for traversing difficult terrain, crossing wide canyons,or bypassing rivers, but it also adds a fun, flashy, and oftenexhilarating element to your deliveries.
