The hunt for legendary gear is a core part of the Borderlands experience, and the powerful War Paint Legendary Repkit is a top-tier prize for any Vault Hunter. This highly sought-after item provides a massive combat boost, but securing it requires you to conquer one of the game's most challenging duo boss fights: Saddleback and Immortal Boneface.This comprehensive guide will walk you through every step, from locating the bosses to mastering the strategy needed to defeat them and claim your legendary loot.

Where to Find the Bosses: Saddleback and Immortal Boneface

Your journey begins in the Terminus Range. Upon fast traveling, you'll arrive at Cuspid Climb. Head east from this point to discover a large Ripper encampment. Push deeper into this hostile territory until you find the Old Scrape, a Ripper Drill Site unmistakably marked by a massive metal drawbridge and the skeletal remains of a colossal creature.To summon the bosses, you must first clear the area of lesser Ripper enemies. Survive the onslaught of several waves, and the formidable duo, Saddleback and Immortal Boneface, will dramatically enter the arena, ready for battle.

Proven Strategy to Defeat Saddleback and Immortal Boneface

Success in this fight hinges on target priority and using the right damage types. Before engaging, ensure your loadout includes Corrosive, Shock, and Incendiary weapons.

Phase 1: Taking Down Saddleback

As you enter the arena, immediately head to the left side. You will find a small, enclosed area with a single entrance. This strategic spot is an excellent defensible position, preventing enemies from flanking you and allowing you to manage the fight more effectively.

Your first and primary target is Saddleback, the massive Meathead who carries Immortal Boneface on his back. You cannot damage Immortal Boneface while he is mounted, so focus all your fire on Saddleback.

• Health Bar 1 (Armor): Saddleback's first health bar is Armor. Use Corrosive or Cryo weapons to shred it efficiently.
• Health Bar 2 (Flesh): Once his armor is broken, switch to powerful Incendiary weapons to burn through his flesh health bar.

While you are focused on Saddleback, Immortal Boneface may occasionally leapoff to attack. While he is vulnerable in these brief moments, hisshields regenerate extremely quickly. It is not worth the ammo or effort to target him; stay focused on Saddleback until he is defeated.

Phase 2: Finishing Off Immortal Boneface

Once Saddleback falls, the fight becomes a one-on-one confrontation with Immortal Boneface. He is now permanently vulnerable.

• Health Bar 1 (Shield): Boneface's first layer of defense is a Shield. Equip your best Shock weapons to deplete it rapidly.
• Health Bar 2 (Flesh): With his shields down, switch back to your Incendiary weapons to finish him off for good.

Upon defeating both bosses, you will be rewarded with a trio of fantastic legendaries, including:

• Lucian's Flank
• Hellwalker
• The War Paint Legendary Repkit (Chrome): On use, it grants +30% Fire Rate and +30% Movement Speed for 15 seconds. Additionally, your Repkit Cooldown is reduced by 2seconds each time you take damage, making it an exceptional tool foraggressive, high-intensity combat.
