For players eager to add a fiery touch to their tactical options in Call of Duty Warzone, the Thermite lethal equipment is on its way! While it starts off as locked, you'll have the opportunity to unlock it in the coming days through the Tribute event in mid-April. You'll be able to unlock the Thermite lethal equipment once the Tribute event goes live in both Warzone and Black Ops 6 Season 3 on April 17, 2025.1 This event will follow a similar structure to previous in-game events, where you'll need to earn XP (experience points) to progress through a reward track and unlock items sequentially.The details of the Tribute event rewards were previously leaked in an X (formerly Twitter) post. According to the video from this leak, you will need to accumulate a total of 180,000 XP to unlock the Thermite lethal equipment. It is slated to be the fifth reward on the event's reward track.About the Thermite Lethal:
The Thermite lethal equipment is an interesting and versatile addition to your arsenal. Similar to a Semtex grenade, it sticks to surfaces upon impact. Once attached, it unleashes a burning effect over a brief period, dealing damage to enemies caught in its area of effect. This makes it useful for area denial, flushing enemies out of cover, or dealing sustained damage to vehicles and players alike.Earning XP During the Tribute Event:
To unlock the Thermite, all you need to do is play any game mode within Warzone or Black Ops 6 Season 3 once the Tribute event begins on April 17th.2 You will earn XP naturally as you play matches, regardless of the mode you choose.
It's worth noting that players who own Black Ops 6 will likely have anadvantage in earning additional rewards through the event, though thecore method of earning XP through gameplay will be the same for allparticipants.
Tribute Event Duration and Mastery Reward:
The Black Ops Tribute Event is scheduled to run for a total of 14 days, from April 17th to May 1st, 2025. This gives you a two-week window to play and unlock all the rewards available through the event track. The ultimate mastery reward for completing the entire Tribute event is the Nail Gun.
