How to get the VMP Elite Jackal blueprint in Black Ops 6

The VMP submachine gun has a legendary reputation within the Black Ops community. Known for its incredible fire rate, exceptional mobility, and clean iron sights, it was a dominant force in both Black Ops 3 and Black Ops 4, making it a fan favorite for close-quarters combat.In Black Ops 6, the VMP doesn't return as a standalone weapon. Instead, it appears as a special cosmetic item for the Jackal PDW called the VMP Elite blueprint. This allows players to transform the base Jackal PDW into the iconic VMP, complete with its unique look, feel, and attachments. This guide will walk you through the steps to unlock this blueprint and how to equip it, including a special workaround to get its classic iron sights.

How to Unlock the VMP Elite Jackal Blueprint

The VMP Elite blueprint is an exclusive reward tied to the game's progression system. To get your hands on it, you'll need to reach a high level within the Prestige ranks.

• Hit Prestige 8, Level 50: The VMP Elite blueprint is the final reward for reaching level 50 in Prestige 8. Prestige 8 is easily identifiable by its unique raven icon. This is a significant grind, but the reward is one of the most sought-after blueprints in the game.

Once you hit this milestone, the blueprint will automatically be unlocked. To equip it, follow these steps:

• Go to your Gunsmith.
• Select the Jackal PDW.
• Navigate to the Blueprints section and choose the VMP Elite from your list.

Equipping the blueprint will immediately change the Jackal PDW's appearance to that of the VMP, giving you its distinct design and pre-set attachments.If you're still far from reaching this prestige level, you can preview the reward to see what you're working toward. Simply go to the Barracks, select Progression, and then choose Prestige. From there, you can click on Prestige 8 and view all the rewards associated with it, including the VMP Elite blueprint.

How to Get the VMP's Classic Iron Sights

One of the VMP's most beloved features in previous games was itscrisp and clean iron sights. However, when you first equip the VMP Elite blueprint in Black Ops 6, it comes with a default optic thatcannot be removed. Fortunately, there is a known workaround to bypassthis restriction, allowing you to use the weapon as it was intended.It's important to note that this fix currently works most reliably in Ranked Play.

Follow these steps to remove the optic and use the VMP's iron sights:

• Select the Jackal PDW Loadout: Go to your loadouts and choose the Jackal PDW you want to use.
• Open Build Options: Hover over the VMP Elite blueprint and open the Build Options menu. On PC, you can do this by right-clicking. On Xbox, press the Y button, and on PlayStation, press the Triangle button.
• Reset to Default: From the menu, select Reset to Default.
• Re-select the Blueprint: Choose the VMP Elite blueprint again. You should now see an option to Remove Restricted Attachments.
• Confirm and Customize: Once you confirm, the optic will be removed. You can now swap out theattachment slot for something else, customize the weapon to your liking, and save your new build.

After you've done this, when youload into a Ranked match, your VMP should appear with its classic ironsights. As long as you don't reapply the blueprint or change your build, it will remain in this state, allowing you to dominate with the smoothfeel of the original VMP.
