How to unlock the Ray Gun Mark 2-P variant in BO6 Zombies Shattered Veil
If you're looking for a powerful Wonder Weapon that delivers a shotgun-like blast in close-quarters combat in Black Ops 6 Zombies: Shattered Veil, the Ray Gun Mark 2-P variant is an excellent choice. Like many of the most rewarding weapons in Zombies, crafting this upgrade requires finding hidden parts, solving a puzzle, and eliminating some undead threats. This guide will walk you through the complete process of building the Ray Gun Mark 2-P variant.
BO6 Zombies Shattered Veil: the Ray Gun Mark 2-P variant
Getting Started: Prerequisites for the Ray Gun Mark 2-P Upgrade
Before you can embark on the Easter Egg to obtain the Ray Gun Mark 2-P, you'll need to have the base version of the Ray Gun Mark 2. You can acquire the base Ray Gun Mark 2 through the Armory (weapon wall buys) or by getting lucky with the Mystery Box. Here's a breakdown of the initial requirements and the subsequent steps:- Shooting Blue Rocks: Look for interactable blue rocks scattered around the map and shoot them.
- Using the LT53 Kazimir Tactical: Pick up the LT53 Kazimir Tactical grenade, often found in the Service Tunnel (rubble area with Der Wunderfuzz).
- Throwing Tomahawks in the Mainframe Chamber: Locate specific pipes within the Mainframe Chamber and throw Tomahawks at them.
Locating the Reflectors for the Ray Gun Mark 2-P Easter Egg:
The two Reflector pieces required for the Ray Gun Mark 2-P puzzle are hidden within fountains at the following locations:- Conservatory Location: Head outside the main mansion to the Conservatory area. To the right of the Quick Revive perk machine, you will find a fountain. Approach this fountain and hold the Interact button. Even if you don't see the Reflector clearly, interacting with the fountain will add the first Reflector to your inventory.
- South West Balcony Location: The second Reflector is located at the South West Balcony, near the PhD Flopper perk machine. Find the fountain in this area, which is situated right behind the chalkboard associated with the Doppelghast code puzzle. Approach the fountain and hold the Interact button to collect the second Reflector.
How to Get the Essence Bomb in Shattered Veil:
Essence Bombs are found inside white crates that spawn randomly across the entire Shattered Veil map. These whitecrates can appear in virtually every Point of Interest (POI). To find an Essence Bomb, you must shoot these white crates to reveal their contents. Inside, you might find helpful tools, enemy spawns, or, if you're lucky, an Essence Bomb.
Here are some known areas where white crates have a chance to appear (though they are not guaranteed spawns):
- At the end of the Service Tunnel.
- Near one of the gray entryways within the Service Tunnel.
- At the main front entrance of the mansion.
- In front of the mansion, inside the Motor Court area.
- Near one of the standing stones in Shem's Henge.
- Near the Teleporter located at the Garden Pond (outer Conservatory area).
- Inside the Conservatory, near an opening with barbed wire.
- At the Library, near a light source.
- At the South West Balcony.
Finding the white crate containing the Essence Bomb can take some time due toits random nature. It's often a good strategy to focus on this steptowards the end of a round. Consider leaving one zombie alive to prevent triggering the next round, giving you more uninterrupted time toexplore the map and search for the elusive Essence Bomb.
Using the Essence Bomb to Progress:
Once you have the two Reflectors, the Empty Canister, and the Essence Bomb, it's time to venture underground. Head to the Service Tunnel and locate some rubble. This debris will be situated to the left of the level three Armor Vest station. Approach the rubble and place the Essence Bomb on it. The resulting explosion will clear the path, granting you access to the Serpent Mound.
Solving the Reflector Ray Gun Mark 2-P Puzzle:
Upon entering the Serpent Mound, you will find a machine. Your next step is to place the Empty Canister into this machine.
Placing the canister will activate a beam of light. Your objective now is to direct this beam towards a specific Doppelghast statue within the Serpent Mound using the two Reflectors you collected. You will find poles in the area where you can place the Reflectors to manipulate the lightbeam's direction. You can also fine-tune the beam's direction byperforming a melee attack on a placed Reflector.
Each time the beam of light successfully illuminates a Doppelghast statue, a Doppelghast enemy will spawn, and you must defeat it. Continue this process, redirecting the light to the subsequent statues and defeating a total of three Doppelghasts to complete the Reflector puzzle. Crafting the Ray Gun Mark 2-P:
After successfully solving the Reflector puzzle and defeating all threeDoppelghasts, the Empty Canister in the machine will transform into a Light Canister. Pick up the Light Canister.
Your final destination is the Director's Quarters. This room is located near the Death Perception perk machine, at approximately the D3 coordinates on your map. Enter the Director's Quarters and locate the workbench within the room. Interact with the workbench, and you will now have the necessary components (including the Light Canister) to craft the Ray Gun Mark 2-P.
Similar to the Ray Gun Mark 2-W variant, the crafting process will take a fewseconds. During this time, be prepared to defend yourself against anylingering zombies to avoid being downed. Once the crafting is complete,equip your new Ray Gun Mark 2-P. This powerful variant fires a spread of projectiles, effectively turning it into a shotgun-like Wonder Weapon.
