First of all you have to bear in mind that the ways to get out of the ring in the game, may vary depending on the type of console you own, either PS4 or Xbox One.

Exit the ring with escape movements from your PS4

When you see a message with the right joystick icon, located at the bottom of the screen, you must press it, this will allow you to escape and leave the ring.

If you want to return to the ring, all you have to do is press the right bumper again.
