This strategy is available during your combat turn where throughout the phases, you have a fixed number of Action Points for each character which you will be able to move, attack or use an object or ability before your turn ends.
To flank you will have to move the members of your squad to advantageous positions on the battlefield using the left joystick or the mouse depending on the game platform you use. This way you can place a character in a new area of the map, that will cost a certain amount of action points depending on how far you move.
Place the movement cursor on a tile that is behind or next to an enemy until it is in the place you want and press the A, X button or the left mouse click according to your platform to confirm the action. This will move your squad member to the position indicated previously.
