The whip is a new weapon, added to the entire game. It is a melee weapon that attacks from a fixed range, damaging everyone in its path and dealing additional damage to targets on the receiving end. The whip is a great weapon to use against normal enemies, other players, and the V Blood boss in V Rising due to its range and usefulness. However, these weapons will not be available until later in the game, and here we tell you how to unlock it.
Iron Whip is the first version of this weapon that players will likely unlock. The recipe for this weapon comes from Domina Bladedancer, the level 63 boss in Blood V, who can surprise many players with her wide-area electric attacks. She can always be found patrolling the town of Rusty Castle south of the Rot Plague.
Defeating Domina will unlock the Iron Whip and Dark Silver Whip recipes, among many others. As with other weapons in V Rising, you'll need to find recipe books for Merciless Whip variants somewhere in the world, from bosses, chests, or vendors. If you obtained recipes from Merciless previously, you will not be able to craft them until you defeat Domina.

How to unlock whips in V Rising?

Roi has the following abilities:
- Air Whip Spin: She runs towards the cursor and spins the whip, dealing 100% physical damage, knocking back enemies and creating a trap that disappears.
- Possessed Whip: Strikes in a straight line towards the cursor, dealing 100% physical damage and inflicting Possession. The playstyle of this weapon is based on crowd control and distance management. Both abilities have the effect of paralyzing the opponent's movements, leaving them vulnerable to further spells and attacks. Use Snare and Entangle to ensure your whip always hits the target at the end of its range.
Bloody Spanking Recipe
Blood Whip is a direct upgrade to Dark Silver Whip, the recipe you'll get after you've defeated Simon Belmont, a boss that travels through Danli Farm and Farbane Forest. It was introduced as part of a collaboration between V Rising and Castlevania. Simon is very high on the boss list and his qualifications are shown as two question marks.
For convenience, it makes the most sense to fight him at level 80. Fighting Simon can be a bit overwhelming. Utilize his entire arsenal to hunt vampires, meaning players will face a large number of types of attacks that will be difficult to dodge or counter if not controlled properly. The boss can attack from any range and closes the distance surprisingly quickly, meaning not even ranged weapons are immune to it.
Any weapon can help against Simon Belmont, but it is highly recommended in this case to use an ax for quick and long-range attacks. If you want to deal longer lasting damage, dual pistols or spears will provide better DPS. As for magic, the minions summoned from the Cursed School of Magic can give you time to land some hits or recover while Simon is busy.
