Diablo 4 Season 4 will bring a revised loot system, Hell Tide mechanics, and several new areas to explore. One of the locations added this season is a dungeon called Artisan's Den, or simply The Pit. This location has some of the toughest challenges in this game, and here we explain how to get there.
The Pit is a randomized dungeon added in the Season 4 update. Because this is randomized, every time someone enters a dungeon, its layout and monsters will change, making each match truly unique. This also means that you will encounter more difficulties because there will be no specific direction for your career. This dungeon contains some of the most challenging endgame content the game has to offer, and you'll definitely want to learn the game thoroughly before diving into it.
All enemies in the Abyss start at level 100, which increases significantly the longer you stay there. There are three dungeon levels, each one much more difficult than the last. The goal is to defeat all enemies (including bosses) in the dungeon before time runs out, similar to what Diablo 3 did with Greater Rifts. You will have 15 minutes on the timer, and you will have to fight waves of monsters until you progress enough to activate the boss. Then you will have to destroy the boss before time runs out. Bosses will drop Stygian Stones that can be used to create Masterpieces, which is another new aspect of the game.

How to unlock The Pit in Diablo 4?
You will need to level up a bit, as you will need to reach World Level 4 and complete the Nightmare Dungeon at Level 45. Abyss Obelisk will then open in Scosglen. However, you will need three Rune Shards to start each Void Race. Rune Shards are available in encounters with Nightmare Dungeons, Hell Waves, Legion Events, and Whispers.
Once in the pits, you can unlock new levels by completing the race in a set time. Level 1: Complete The Pit with 4 minutes or less left on the clock. Level 2: Complete the pot with 4–6 minutes left on the clock. Level 3: Complete The Pit with 6 or more minutes left on the clock. The higher the level, the tougher the enemies will be. However, you will receive more rewards upon completion. At first, pits will seem like a nightmarish dungeon at level 45, but the more levels you unlock, the more difficult they become, so make sure you're prepared before tackling them.
