How To Open the Field’s Hollow Mysterious Door in Titan Quest 2

Titan Quest 2, the latest ARPG to launch in Early Access, has already captivated fans with its compelling gameplay and rich world. While exploring the Flooded Farmlands during the "Cages in the Dark" quest, players may come across a mysterious locked door in a cave called Fiend's Hollow. This door is not part of the main quest, but solving its puzzle grants access to valuable rewards.This guide will explain how to solve the brazier puzzle to open the Fiend's Hollow door and what you can expect to find inside.

Titan Quest 2: Open the Field’s Hollow Mysterious Door

The mysterious door presents a riddle that serves as a clue to the puzzle's solution: "You imagine yourself lighting a lone brazier. Then a pair of braziers. Then a trio. Then the thoughts fade."The key to solving this is to understand that the clue is not about the three braziers directly in front of the door, but rather three distinct sets of braziers located throughout the cave. You must light these braziers in the order described by the clue: a lone one, then a pair, and finally, the trio. Interacting with the braziers is enough to light them.

Here is the correct order to light the braziers:

The Lone Brazier: The first brazier is located in the northernmost section of the Fiend's Hollow cave. Look for an unlit brazier on a pedestal before you reachthe final corner of this area. Light this one first.

The Pair of Braziers: Next, travel to the bottom-right corner of the cave map. This is anarea you might have already visited as part of the "Cages in the Dark"quest. Here, you will find two unlit braziers. Light both of them in any order.

The Trio of Braziers: Finally, return tothe mysterious locked door. You will find three braziers positionedright next to it. Light all three of these.

If you light the braziers in this specific 1-2-3 sequence, they will remain lit, and the mysterious door will swing open, granting you access to the roombeyond. If you light them in the wrong order, the braziers willextinguish, and you will have to try again.

Rewards for Opening the Door

Once the door is open, you can enter the room and discover what lies within. You will encounter an NPC named Mopsus, a miner who is not pleased that you unsealed his sanctuary. He willexpress his frustration, as he had sealed the door to protect himselffrom the "craziness of the outside world."

Beyond the conversation with Mopsus, the room contains a significant reward for your efforts. You will find two chests, which have a high chance of dropping multiple valuable items. Thismakes the effort of solving the puzzle well worth the time, as the lootcan give you a significant advantage in your early game progression.
