Well, the Vitalstone can be found in Throne and Liberty sourced from some specific locations. How to get Vitalstones in Throne and Liberty
Legends have it that the Vitalstones are crystalline remains of the Gigantrite's blood that hold a gigantic amount of mana. You can only get your hands on these consumables by mining the Divine Beast Fragments that the Gigantrite periodically sheds.
That shimmering blue "whale poop" you might've seen falling from her does drop something to the ground, actually. Gigantrite drops a fragment of herself several times in one journey, without it being clear when and where this will occur. You can try to follow the Gigantrite on land if you want to get closer to seeing when and where the fragment drops, but you'll more than likely get outpaced by her quite fast. The best way to collect Vitalstones is by hopping on to the Gigantrite as soon as possible and waiting on one of her fins when she shakes off fragments.
Another wonky part of gathering is that the Divine Beast Fragments don't fall where the blue particle effects strike the ground. They have set areas in which they spawn a few seconds after the main group of blue crystals has finished falling. As you're falling from the Gigantrite, watch for the light column-which will be lighter blue in color-as it falls to the ground. You'll want to speed up and mine the dark blue crystal that'll spawn in once it lands. The other thing to keep in mind regarding attempting to get the Vitalstones is every Divine Beast Fragment can only be mined by one player.
It will break and disappear if another player reaches it before you. The same goes for fragments: in case you mine them first, other players that race for them will fail. If you want to farm a decent amount of Vitalstones, then be pretty fast. Fortunately, after trying it out a number of times, you will get a hang of where the fragments will spawn. The Divine Beast Fragment is a crucial material to craft skill growth books along with Rare Marind and Vitalstones. On the Gigantrite, the Vitalstones could be swapped for Stellarite Element, which is necessary in creating Stellarite using the method explained above.
