Welcome to our detailed and detailed guide on How to defeat the Old Wizard’s Eye in Throne and Liberty.
Getting past the seventh story of Taedal's Tower and facing the adversaries there can be a struggle for even the most seasoned Throne and Liberty players. There are a lot of challenging bosses in this solo PvE dungeon, and they all have different abilities and mechanics.
On the fourteenth story of Taedal's Tower, you'll find the Old Wizard's Eye, an adversary that has been bringing the community sorrow. Everything you need to know, from where to find it to how to defeat it, is right here in this comprehensive guide to Throne and Liberty's Old Wizard's Eye.
The Old Wizard's Eye Location
Unlocking Taedal's Tower, making substantial plot advancement, and reaching max level with your character are prerequisites to fighting the Old Wizard's Eye in Throne and Liberty.
The following steps will get you to Taedal's Tower:
- Level up your character to 30 or above.
- Take the main quest to the Starlight Observatory Ruins.
Although you will be able to enter Taedal's Tower once you reach level 30, it is highly recommended you follow the main storyline to Starlight Observatory Ruins. This area introduces you to several helpful NPCs and also provides a direct link to the tower.
The gateway to Taedal's Tower in the Overworld is Ashien's Strange Painting. When you're standing in front of it, pressing F will bring you to the screen of Taedal's Tower, where you can select the floor to enter at.
You will need to defeat thirteen further bosses or PvE encounters before you reach floor fourteen, where the Old Wizard's Eye is located, as previously stated. Floor mechanics vary in difficulty, thus it's important to familiarize yourself with each one thoroughly before moving on. Also, feel free to experiment with different builds as you progress. As a hint, certain floors contain many adversaries.
Warning: several floors of Taedal's Tower host multiple foes; using crowd control abilities is essential for survival if this is your first visit.
Because the Old Wizard's Eye is level 50, this fight is also at max level. Since Taedal's Tower is linear and requires victory in each combat preceding it to continue, it opens mechanically at level 50.
How to defeat the Old Wizard’s Eye in Throne and Liberty
The Old Wizard's Eye must be defeated before you even step foot in Taedal's Tower, so make sure you're ready. Although the majority of your success will depend on time, you can greatly improve your chances of defeating this boss by equipping certain items and perks.
Gather high-quality foodstuffs like Onion Soup and Quality Meat around a bonfire or a cooking fire in a town like Kastleton to fortify your defenses. If you want to survive this fight unscathed, a defensive buff will be your best bet.
Opening a Plentiful Food Selection Chest or a Rare Food Selection Chest will let you to obtain high-quality meals in Throne and Liberty, even if you haven't leveled up your Cooking skill.
You won't feel rushed to finish this fight if you find a higher-quality food item; the boost will last for at least 30 minutes, not 15 minutes.
Be sure you have all the necessary items before you go to Taedal's Tower. To maximize your chances of victory, level up and improve any uncooked equipment, giving special attention to attributes that deal with movement, hit probability, and resilience.
While reviewing your character's powers and skills, try to think of ways to make them move faster. Get a boost on any applicable attacks, such the Frost Smokescreen, before you face this fight; stealth-based skills, dashes, and dodges will all be useful.
One piece of advice: before you try to win this encounter, equip the Lady Knight Kamarshea Guardian. This guardian's shield is an essential defense against large amounts of damage.
You can enter the dungeon through the portal in Ashien's Strange Painting or go to the Starlight Observatory Ruins and use that, or you can activate the Secret Dungeon option in the main menu. The next step is to make your way to the tower's fourteenth floor.
Positioning and movement are the keys to surviving the OId Wizard's Eye combat in Throne and Liberty. You won't win this battle by standing still; you'll need all your movement skills and dodge timing nailed.

The Old Wizard's Eye is a boss that mostly deals area damage and has several unpleasant mechanics that might catch you off guard if you're not careful. It can do the following:
- Separate the fibers. A cleave assault covering almost half of the arena will be prepared by the Old Wizard's Eye, as indicated by the red floor. The only way to sidestep this is to hide behind the boss, which you may achieve by utilizing a mobility skill or the Morph.
- Explosions on the Ground. Pay close attention; if a purple circle appears, it means you should use a certain block. As soon as the circle disappears, the boss will momentarily light the entire arena on fire. Depending on your equipment, this attack can be blocked or, failing to do so, can cause instant death.
- Circles of Fire. At regular intervals, little red circles will show beneath your character. These do a lot of damage, so run away from them or stand out of their path if you can.
- A hat trick. In its triple ground slam move, the boss leaps into the air before slamming down on the ground. Keep an eye out for the boss's jumping animation; there are usually three separate instances when you need to jump before the boss hits the ground.
- Here, timing is king, especially when the monster has a pattern to his moves. You may expect the Ground Attacks to kick things off, followed by Flame Circles, the Triple Slam, and finally, the Cleave.
To learn the boss's pattern of attacks and combat sequence, pay particular attention to its Ground Attacks and Cleave, which are the most deadly. After a few practice runs, you should have a good grasp of the Old Wizard Eye's rotation and be able to easily win this fight.
Even though it can be tough to handle with certain one-shots, this fight is definitely worth it. You can get Rare Recovery Crystals, Precious Armor Growthstones, Precious Weapon Growthstones, and Precious Accessory Growthstones from it. These are all very useful items to have on hand.
