In The Sims 4, the world of Innisgreen offers many unique quests known as Fables. One of the most challenging is Not Mushroom for Error, a riddle-based mission given by the character Spruce Almighty. To complete this Fable, you must solve four specific riddles posed by different colored mushrooms.This guide provides a full walkthrough of the Not Mushroom for Error Fable, including the locations of the mushrooms and the solutions to each riddle.

The Sims 4: How to complete Not Mushroom for Error Fable

The quest requires you to interact with four colored mushrooms located near Spruce Almighty's tree in the Sprucederry Grove region of Innisgreen.

All Mushroom Locations

All four mushrooms are located in the same general area, but they can be easy to miss.
  • Blue Mushroom: Can be found near some green bushes and purple flowers, a few steps away from Spruce Almighty's tree and close to a small stone wall.
  • Red Mushroom: Located on the other side of the path leading up to Spruce Almighty's tree, near a lamppost and a bush.
  • Green Mushroom: Found a bit further away from the path, near the Red Mushroom.
  • Yellow Mushroom: Tucked away in a corner of the green area near Spruce Almighty's tree, behind some green bushes and a stone fence.

Solving the Riddles

Each mushroom presents a riddle that requires a specific item or condition to be met before you can provide the correct answer.

What am I?"Answer: Bioluminescent Mushroom.<br><br>Requirement: You must have Lightning Root Leaves in your inventory. You can acquire these by either planting and growing a Lightning Root plant or finding one in the wild. The quickest way is to find a plant in the Fairy neighborhood of Everdew, specifically in a circular patch of grass near the Summerdream family’s home. Once you have the leaves, select the Bioluminescent Mushroom solution.
Red"I’m often red, with spots about. I’m seen in film to gain some clout! I’m a fungi, I swear it’s true, but if you touch, Grim collects you! What am I?"Answer: Amanita Muscaria.<br><br>Requirement: This is a straightforward riddle with only two options: Amanita Muscaria and Fly Agaric. Simply select Amanita Muscaria to solve the riddle.
Green"A Laurent chef’s awarded dish. A forager’s ultimate wish. Rich but not rare, the Landgraab’s eat, but to the rags, a chocolate sweet. What am I?"Answer: Truffle.<br><br>Requirement: You must have at least 5,000 Simoleons in your household funds to choose this option. If you do not have enough money, you will need to earn it before you can complete this riddle.
Yellow"Come dance about, it’s time to play. Good luck or bad, we’re here to stay. A portal to a fairy land? Or toadstool spores’ outward expand? What am I?"Answer: A Fairy Ring.<br><br>Requirement: You can only select this answer if your Sim is either a Fairy or has unlocked an Enchanted by Nature notebook entry. The easiest way to get the notebook entry is through foraging, which you may have already done. If not, continue foraging in the area until you unlock the entry, then return and select a Fairy Ring.

Reward: Upon successfully solving all four riddles and completing the Fable, you will be rewarded with a Glasswood Tree and some Everdew Seeds.
