In Endnight Games' The Forest, your inventory is an essential tool for staying alive. It may store a wide variety of goods, including food, medicine, weapons, skins, and more. All of these things can be used by players to mend themselves, restore their energy, create weapons, and more.


Having said that, there is a limit to what can be stored in The Forest. When it's full, you can't add anything more; therefore, you'll have to remove some things to make room. If you're not sure what to do, this guide will walk you through the steps of dropping stuff in The Forest.

How To Drop Items in The Forest?

The Forest isn't like other games when it comes to dropping items. Only a small number of objects can be discarded by players; the rest simply return to your inventory. click the "I" button to access your inventory, then click the "G" button to drop an item. Both dropping to the ground and returning to your inventory are possible outcomes, depending on the item in question.

When you press the letter "G" on a stick, it will return to your inventory, however when you press the same on fresh or spoilt meat, it will drop. With a few notable exceptions, the drop mechanism functions quite similarly to the game's unequip feature.


You can only have so much of each thing in your inventory. The surplus will be released mechanically if you gather more items than you can transport. Snacks, MEDS, and soda are great consumables to repurpose, as are materials that can be combined or stored for things that aren't immediately needed.

To access your Survival Guide, hit the "B" button. From there, you can build a storage unit. You may access the storage choices by clicking the down-arrow button in the top navigation. Any kind of rack, cabinet, or holder for items can be chosen from that point on. With the 'Storage2' and 'Storage3' icons in the bottom right corner, players can go to the next page of the storage section, which consists of three parts.

Materials such as sticks and logs will be needed to construct each storage facility. After gathering the necessary materials and building the shelf, you can transfer objects from your inventory to it by using the "C" key.
