How to Get ATK / DEF Boost Cubes in Disney Pixel RPG
Even with a full-leveled team, you may face defeat at the hands of bosses in Disney Pixel RPG. Boost Cube is one of those rare upgrade resources that will increase your team's DEF and ATK, and this is what you'll need to get through this task.
Boost Cubes are hard to farm due to their supposed use after the game. However, once you've finally got your units you see fit for the future, there is a way to farm these cubes. Boost Cubes cost an arm and a leg, but in this article, it will show you one surefire technique to get as many as you want, even with a not-so-powerful squad.
How to Get ATK / DEF Boost Cubes in Disney Pixel RPG?
Boost Cubes are one of the most valuable resources in Disney Pixel RPG. Spending these increases either a character's DEF or ATK stat. Unlike boosts from leveling, re-rolling, and limit breaking, the boosts from Boost Cubes do not rely on RNG for the improvements, so they are always consistent and predictable.
If you equip a Boost Cube to a character, one of his ATK or DEF stats gains a +4 power boost. Meaning, your unit's ATK will rise from 895 to 899 if you use one Boost Cube. One thing to remember is you can use this perk only a maximum of seven times per character. The amount of Boost Cubes that are needed also increases to perform each succeeding upgrade.
How to Obtain Boost Cubes?
In Disney Pixel RPG, you can only get the ATK and DEF Boost Cubes by clearing stages on Hard difficulty. Since enemies in this mode drop Boost Cubes only from time to time, using the Auto-clear function becomes an alternative farming.
Considering the nature of enemy drops is random, there's a slim chance you will actually get the ATK or DEF upgrade materials as a prize after completing each Hard stage of your Boost Cube farming.
At the end of the boss levels in Disney Pixel RPG, you could cash your points in for either ATK or DEF Cubes in the first official event, Battle Challenge.
How to Idlely Hoard Boost Cubes?
In Disney Pixel RPG, one of the ways to gain more Boost Cubes would be to create expeditions. You can send up to three playable characters in a trek that may last anywhere between two up to twenty hours. You could get ATK or DEF Boost Cubes upon their return.
This will, however, be most effective in the second phase of the Expedition, which is Zootopia. In Princess Saga: Aurora you'll want to farm Upgrade Pixels and Pix, instead of Cubes.
You must conclude each Expedition manually to claim your rewards. Note that these characters you send on these Expeditions will also be available to use for campaign and fight modes.
How to Get More Boost Cubes?
You can buy unlimited ATK and DEF Boost Cubes for 150 Pix each from the Shop. In the main menu, you enter Shops and then select the Pix tab. This method has no limits imposed, so it is considered the most viable way to get Boost Cubes. You can cash in if you have enough Pix for this useful enhancement material.
Boost Cubes: Is It Worth It? With such meager gain, the time and money that Boost Cubes provide might not be worth it. You will have a better option if you use Customization Seeds in the Ability Customization menu for a stat boost. The ATK and DEF will also increase as you progress in leveling up your characters.
Consider character leveling to be the last part of the game, with Boost Cubes being the individual stat boosts that, when you are still raising your squad, is too much of a waste of time and resources.
