Thank Goodness You're Here! by Coal Supper is a comedic masterpiece and easily one of the best titles of this year. While customisation options in the PC version are pretty impressive—native support for high refresh rates—the developers have, for some odd reason, neglected ultrawide support, and that pretty much kills all the fun for those playing on such setups. Fortunately, one gentleman by the name of Lyall from the Widescreen community has taken it upon himself to bridge this gap. Their thoughtfully developed patch added proper ultrawide support and fixed the visual anomalies that plagued the game previously. Their tireless contribution to this project definitely is appreciated, and it made the experience much smoother for a large number of users using ultrawide.

How to Fix the Thank Goodness You’re Here! Ultrawide

Want to enjoy the ridiculous world of Barnsworth in a glorious ultrawide or a custom resolution? Well, thanks to a fantastic community patch by Lyall, you can! This patch offers full resolution support, including ultrawide and narrower aspect ratios. You can even skip the intro logos for a faster boot time.

Here's How to Install the Patch:

1. Download the Patch: From the provided GitHub link, download the "TGYHFix_v1.0.0.zip" file found in "Assets."
2. Extract the Files: Extract the downloaded .zip file directly to your Thank Goodness You're Here! installation folder. Default location for Steam users: steamapps\common\Thank Goodness You're Here!
3. Launch the Game: The first run might be a bit slower because it is patching. After that, you should be good to go with the game running in your preferred resolution!

Special thanks to Lyall for developing and testing this patch! They have also made patches for other newer titles such as Ghost of Tsushima and Persona 3: Reload.

Fine-tuning Your Experience (Optional):

The archive comes with a configuration file, TGYHFix.cfg, which you can further tune using any simple text editor like Notepad or Notepad++.

Linux and Steam Deck Users:

Users on Linux or Steam Deck will need one more launch command added: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp=n,b" %command%

The Future of Ultrawide Support:

Hopefully, this patch will be obsoleted soon with the official release from the developers, but for now, this is the best solution available.

Optional Removal of Patch

Now, if you want to go back to the game's original settings, just delete the files you extracted from the patch.
