How To Reach Vicar Amelia in Bloodborne

The tower's hazardous climbs could not have been without their drop time; falling damage should not, however, present an imminent lethal concern. Be sure to recover fully from a poor landing after every drop to be as ready as possible for the next ones. The bottom section of the tower holds a fearsome enemy proficient in the use of pyromancy. Killing this enemy will unlock the alley behind the rear exit into the tower. Be wary as you follow it; on the left side stands a hulking enemy, his face obscured but his body loaded with a large sack. Down the alleyways ahead a pack of enemies sprint towards you. Once you reach the junction, follow the path on the left side and use the lift to move up.
On the other side of the elevator, an inviting corridor entices the player behind an enormous gate. To unlock this corridor, pull the lever to the right. The passage right shows a grand stairway, one which fills its many heights with enemies. At the top of the staircase, The Cathedral, home to the daunting Vicar Emilia. The large doors of the cathedral remain closed for now, keeping the enemies atop the staircase at bay, providing a brief respite before the ominous boss battle.
The following tactics should be considered when facing Vicar Amelia:
- Exploit Weakness: She is weak against fire-based attacks.
- Threat Avoidance: Her health regeneration during the second half of the battle is what really makes her a challenge.
- Max Damage: Thrust and blood-based damage deal maximum damage.
Shortcut
The path from the Cathedral Ward lantern to the fearsome Vicar Amelia is much quicker if you've unlocked the gate during your travels earlier. From there the lantern is, go into the door directly under the stairs. Go up the ramp to the right, then the stairs in front of you. Continue to where you just opened the door. You will see the gate to the right that you had locked is now wide open. Now only two sets of large staircase is left in your way of reaching that fearsome boss, so this simplifies your route a lot.
