How to Unlock All Animals and Pets in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar

Getting animals and pets is one of the most rewarding features in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar. They not only provide a steady source of income and valuable resources but also make your daily farm life significantly easier. Here is a complete guide to acquiring and caring for all the animals and pets in the game.

How to Unlock Animals and Pets

Your journey to getting animals begins with Ramon, the animal vendor. His stall is your go-to for all things livestock and pets. You can find his stall at the bazaar every Saturday.

Livestock (Barn Animals)

Ramon's stall is available from the very first Spring. Initially, he will only have a selection of livestock for sale. You will also receive your first animal—a Chicken—for free from Ramon early in the game to help you get started.

Pets (Cats and Dogs)

Unlike livestock, you cannot purchase pets right away. You must wait until the first Summer.

• Receive a Free Pet: At the beginning of Summer 1, Ramon will give you your first pet, a dog. This will happen on Summer 1 or 2, depending on the game's progression.
• Unlock Pet Sales: After you receive your first pet and compete in the Summer Pet Show festival, pet sales will be unlocked at Ramon's stall. The selection of cats and dogs he sells is random and changes with each bazaar.
• Unlock Horses: You will receive your first Horse for free from Ramon right before the Horse Derby festival in the middle of Summer. After this, different colored Horses may be available for sale.

Pets do not produce sellable goods but can be trained to help with dailyfarm tasks, such as herding your animals. You can own a total of 9 pets (four dogs, four cats, and one horse).

Livestock (Productive Animals)

Livestock are your main source of income from animal products. They produce eggs, milk, and wool that can be sold at the bazaar or processed at thewindmills for a higher profit.

• Chicken: Lays Eggs.
• Silkie Chicken: Lays more valuable Silkie Eggs (unlocked in later years).
• Cow: Produces Milk.
• Buffalo: Produces Buffalo Milk.
• Sheep: Produces Wool.
• Suffolk Sheep: Produces more valuable Suffolk Wool.
• Alpaca: Produces Alpaca Wool.
• Brown Alpaca: Produces Brown Alpaca Wool, which is required for certain outfits from Karina.

Barn and Pet Capacity

Your farm comes with an initial barn that has a limited capacity. You can expand it as you progress through the game.

• Initial Barn: Holds up to 4 Chickens and 4 larger animals (Cows, Buffalo, Sheep, or Alpaca).
• Second Barn: After purchasing a second barn from Garon, your total capacity increases to 6 Chickens and 6 larger animals.
