How to Start the Memory Mania Event in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Unlike traditional quests that begin with a character conversation, the Memory Mania event has a more organic start. There is no official quest giver or starting point. To kick off the event, you simply need to explore your valley and pick up one of the special, sparkly memory items hidden throughout the various realms and biomes.
As soon as you collect your first event item, the Memory Mania duties will be automatically added to your Dreamlight Duties menu under the "Event" tab. From there, you can track your progress toward all the available rewards.

The core gameplay of the Memory Mania event involves hunting for four distinct types of objects. Each item you pick up corresponds to a specific colored memory and can spawn in several fixed locations.

Pro Tip for Efficient Farming: These special items have a respawn timer of approximately 30 minutes. For the most efficient farming, make a loop around all the listedlocations, collect every item you see, and then return later to do itagain. Picking them up regularly ensures the game continues to spawn new ones.

Earning Memories and Unlocking Rewards

Each time you collect one of the four items, you have a chance to receive apiece of its corresponding colored memory. These memories are used tocomplete pages in your Collection tab, and it takes 10 memory pieces to complete a single page.

However, it's important to note that item pickups do not guarantee a memory fragment every time. You may often receive Star Coins or other materials instead. This means you will likely need to collect far more than 10 of each item to finish a memory page and progress through the event duties.
