For each puzzle in the game, there is three versions depending on the difficulty chosen. You choose your difficulty when you first start the game; you cannot change it once the game has started. The following puzzle was completed on the normal difficultly setting; this is the recommended setting.

About the puzzle
Central safe in the room holds the key to the puzzle. A three-digit code, that is. Be sure, you won't be allowed to get out of the room until you solve the problem. That's all you need.
Next to the crack, which you used to gain access into the apartment, there is a small poem written on the wall. Here is the solution to the riddle. The larger words in the poem spell out the answer but the majority of the poem is gibberish. The remaining sentences pertain to the pictures on the wall whereas left and right pertains to which way the dial should be rotated.
Where is the key to the safe?
There are pictures, numbers, and inscriptions around the chamber walls. Those enlarged words in the poem match those illustrations. Each of them possesses a corresponding number. You can see in the related images the safe combination numbers, the directions for the turning of the dial next to them, and the word order on the line represents the number order.
In the hallway to the locked exit doors, the rooftops-located near the ceiling-are the first drawing, in order. Thirteen is the number, as is the direction: right.
On the wall, to the right of the text is the second drawing, in the order of the rooftops: the footprints. The number is 7, and left is the direction.
The last-but not least-drawing in the series-a river-is the very bottom of the wall, opposite the poem. And on the right-hand side of the street is the number eleven.
You may now open the safe-now that you have all the numbers. Approach the safe and do the following:
From the safe dial, move the dial right to stop on number 13 to confirm your selection.
- You will see, to your left, the safe dial-press the 7 button to confirm. Move the safe dial to the right and then press the "11" button to confirm your selection.
- You activate the safe by doing this: Inside, you'll find a coin that you'll need for the next puzzle and the key for the door to escape. On the second page of the booklet are the answers to the rest of the game's riddles.
