What is Pokémon Odyssey?
Pokémon Odyssey is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokémon Fire Red. It takes place in the fictional world of Auverne, where the player must complete various missions and explore the world. The game features a unique storyline, new characters, locations, and mechanics. It also adds some of the features from the original Fire Red, including the Pokémon Gym battles.
How to download Pokémon Odyssey?
To download Pokémon Odyssey, you will need to have NUPS and a clean 1636 – Pokémon Fire Red (U)(Squirrels) ROM. For optimal gameplay experience, the developers recommend using mGBA 0.9.2 or mGBA 0.10.0. However, downloading and installing third party software comes with its own risks. Before downloading any such software, it is important to do some research.
Head over to the ROM's official page on PokéCommunity and download the latest version of the game under the Downloads section. ROM hacks are usually distributed in .ips or .ups file formats. With NUPS, players can patch .ups ROM hacks by using the “Apply an UPS patch to a file” option. Select the Pokémon Odyssey patch and use it to patch the clean 1636 – Pokémon Fire Red (U)(Squirrels) ROM. Once patched, you can then run and play Pokémon Odyssey. It is a good idea to make a backup of the ROM as well.
The game includes some exciting new features, such as the ability to destroy tendrils in the Deluxe Quarters and the Communications Hub, break into the Re-Route Power from Electrical Systems and Maintenance Bay Office, as well as finding 12 marker fragments in the Cargo Bay, Dr. T. Kyne's Office, Inquiry Desks, Hidden Room, 12 marker fragments, Dead Space Remake marker fragment locations, marker fragment in Chief Steward's Office, Engine Room, and Circuit Breaker.
