A key part of this event involves finding its loyal servants, the elusive Forest Minions. Collecting these minions not only impacts the map and the haunting but also contributes to a new reward system being tested by Kinetic Games. Since these creatures can be tricky to spot, this guide will explain the most efficient methods for locating them.

Phasmophobia: How to Find Forest Minions

The Cursed Hollow event is active from April 17th to May 7th, 2025. During this time, you'll receive daily special objectives focused on dispelling the Forest Spirit's influence on rotating haunted locations.

Identify Haunted Maps: On the map selection screen, look for Nest icons. These icons indicate which of the nine specific maps are currently affected by the Forest Spirit for that day.

Equip Essential Gear: Before venturing into a haunted map to hunt for Forest Minions, make sure your team equips the following items to maximize your chances of success:

• Tier I, II, or III D.O.T.S. Projector (Required): This is the crucial item for revealing the Forest Minions.
• Flashlight (Optional): While not directly used to reveal minions, a flashlight will help you navigate the often dark environments.
• Sanity Medication (Optional): Encounters with the Forest Spirit and its minions can have adverse effects on your sanity, so bringing Sanity Medication is recommended to counteract these.

Using the D.O.T.S. Projector: The D.O.T.S. Projector is the key to spotting the Forest Minions.

• Shine the Projector on Nests: You will need to locate the nests within the haunted map. These are the dwelling places of the Forest Minions.
• Brief Appearance: Shine the beam of your D.O.T.S. Projector directly onto a nest. If a Forest Minion is present, it will briefly appear as a faint, translucent figure moving within the D.O.T.S. grid.
• Hopping Away: After its brief appearance, the Forest Minion will quickly hop away and vanish. You will need to be observant to register its presence.
• Listen for Clues: Pay attention to any whispering or chattering sounds you might hear. These audio cues can sometimes indicate that a Forest Minion is nearby, even before you spot it with the D.O.T.S. Projector.

Collection and the Forest Spirit's Reaction: Once your team has successfully collected all the Forest Minions on a particular map, the Forest Spirit will react. This reaction can vary:

• Benefits: Sometimes, the Forest Spirit's reaction might provide your team with certain benefits or advantages.
• New Challenges: Other times, the reaction might introduce new challenges or increase the difficulty of the investigation.

  • Event ID Card + Badge
  • Event Trophy (with 3 Upgrades)
• Personal Rewards: These rewards are earned based on your individual participation in the event. The Personal Rewards listed are:
  • Foil Event Card
  • Trophy Upgrade

The reward split system, where both Community and Personal Rewards are offered, is a new feature being tested by Kinetic Games to ensure that all players can benefit from the event, even if they haven't unlocked every map in the game.
