Mindseye: How to Unlock Free Roam

To unlock Free Roam in Mindseye, you must play through the main story campaign.

• Progression Requirement: Free Roam unlocks automatically after you have played for at least 6-7 hours into the campaign. You will gain access to it as you progress further into the main narrative, specifically after completing the "Datafall" mission according to some reports.
• Accessing Free Roam: Once unlocked, you can access Free Roam at any time by opening your start menu and selecting "Play." Within this menu, you will find options for various activities, including mini-games, races, small raids, and other solo missions that are part of the Free Roam experience.

What You Can Do In Free Roam

When you first enter Free Roam, the game provides you with a safe house and a car. The mode offers a variety of activities to engage with, though it currently has some notable limitations.

• Objectives and Missions: Throughout the Free Roam world, you will find various objectives and missions. Some of these involve fighting enemies and collecting weapons to upgrade your arsenal.
• Mercenary Missions: You can encounter NPCs who offer quests. Accepting these quests will send you on small side missions, such as infiltrating enemy bases.

Current Limitations of Free Roam:

It's important to note that, as of its release, Mindseye's Free Roam mode has certain limitations that can make it feel somewhat restricted compared to other open-world titles:

• Limited Interaction with World: You cannot steal cars off the street. You are generally limited to the one car provided to you at the start of Free Roam, and it cannot be customized. Most buildings in the open world are also inaccessible.
• No Persistence or Rewards: Currently, completing side missions in Free Roam does not reward you with money, XP, or any other useful progression elements. You simply complete them and move on. There is also no persistence,meaning any progress or changes you make might not be saved when youexit and re-enter Free Roam.

• No World Map: The game currently does not feature a full world map in Free Roam; only a minimap is available.

• No Wanted Level: You cannot even get a wanted level for engaging in disruptive behavior.
