MindsEye, a futuristic action game with a strong narrative focus, presents an early and notoriously frustrating challenge: the CPR mini-game. In this sequence, protagonist Jacob Diaz must successfully resuscitate Matt Conti. This mini-game has been a source of significant difficulty for many players, leading to numerous "Failed" screens due to what often feels like off-kilter timing.For those struggling to get through this crucial early-game segment, here are some helpful tips to successfully perform CPR on Matt Conti.

MindsEye:  How To Perform CPR

The CPR mini-game in MindsEye is divided into two distinct parts, both requiring precise timing and control. The game's trigger inputs can feel slightly delayed, making the task more challenging than it initially appears.

CPR Mini-game Part 1 (Compressions)

This first part focuses on simulating chest compressions.

• Objective: You must press the LT + RT (Xbox) or L2 + R2 (PlayStation) simultaneously when the on-screen circles line up.
• Key Timing Tip: It is highly advisable to try to get the little white dot to hit the left-side edge of the black circle as it moves inwards. This slight pre-emptive press often compensates for the perceived input delay.
• Rhythm and Fluidity: Do not press the trigger buttons too hard or with excessive force. Speed and fluidity are key to finding the correct rhythm. Focus on light, consistent presses.
• Alternative Technique (Xbox/PlayStation): Some players have found success by holding down just one of the RT/R2 or LT/L2 buttons and then timing the press of the other trigger button to line up with the circle. This method reportedly worked well on the Xbox version.
• Failure Condition: If you miss three times, you will fail this part of the mini-game and have to start the entire CPR process over again.

CPR Mini-game Part 2 (Rescue Breaths)

The second part simulates rescue breaths.

• Objective: You must follow the on-screen line with both the L and R analogue sticks simultaneously.
• Precision and Smoothness: The goal is to stay within the line as much as possible. This requires slow, controlled, and smooth movements of the analogue sticks. Avoid jerky motions.
• Analog Stick Position: Try moving the analogue sticks around halfway on the controller, rather than pushing them to their full extent. This can help with maintaining precision within the line.

To successfully complete the entire scene and save Matt Conti, you willneed to repeat both parts of these mini-games. This can indeed bechallenging and frustrating, especially as you progress through thesecond part and face repeated attempts. However, by persevering andapplying these timing and control tips, you should be able tosuccessfully complete the CPR sequence and advance to the next part ofthe game in Redrock City.

Note: As of recent patches, the developers have acknowledged the difficultyof this mini-game and have stated their intent to make it easier via ahotfix. If you are still struggling after trying these tips, ensure your game is fully updated, as a future patch may have already simplifiedthis sequence.
