How to Solve the Silenced Cathedral Artifact Puzzle in Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver features a multitude of locations, each filled with intricate puzzles that present a challenge in nearly every area. While not all of these puzzles are required, tackling them can lead to some exciting rewards for players. By opening the map, you'll discover the number of Artifacts available in each location. Some will prioritize enhancing health, while others will concentrate on boosting energy.
Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver: Silenced Cathedral Artifact Puzzle
The wall will feature a variety of engraved images, with sections at the bottom elegantly recessed. This puzzle mirrors another challenge theywill face in the Silenced Cathedral — the wall paintings puzzle.After completing two puzzles that will break the glass encasing someswitches, players will encounter an optional puzzle waiting to bediscovered. They will soon step into the room, where an Artifact awaits, elegantly displayed within a glass enclosure. Upon solving the upcoming puzzle, players will earn this Artifact as a reward.
A gate will stand between this glass enclosure and the puzzle room, requiring theplayer to leave their physical form behind and phase through it. Players will encounter enemies on the other side that they can defeat andabsorb to restore their stamina. While in the Spectral Realm, playerscannot push any blocks. Instead, make your way to the center of thesouth wall and execute a high jump to reach the ledge above. This willserve as a pivotal location for players to return to the Material Plane.
Before diving into the action of flipping blocks and fitting them into thewall's open spaces, players should pause to examine the images closely.Trumpeters gather in close proximity, while the figures raising theirhands to the sky are adorned in flowing garments that elegantly drapearound their legs. This guide assists players in identifying the optimal locations for pushing a block. Players have the option to togglebetween the classic visuals and the stunning new graphics of Legacy ofKain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, allowing them to appreciate both styles.
Sometimes, these blocks won't be oriented correctly andwill require flipping. To achieve the desired alignment, players caneasily flip the block so that the picture is facing upward. Next, theyshould position themselves on the side opposite to where they want theimage to face. The block will now be flipped to ensure the image facesthe required side. To correct an upside-down image, simply positionyourself to the left or right and rotate it by flipping the block.
After all the blocks are perfectly positioned, four final blocks will cascade down from above. Follow this procedure with the remaining four blocks,and the glass enclosure containing the artifact will unlock. To complete an emblem, players must gather a total of 5 artifacts, which will alsoenhance their overall stamina.
