The good news is that the developers are aware of this critical bug. In response to a Steam discussion post regarding the issue, developer Neptuned_GF explicitly stated:"We’re looking at both issues. Thanks for the bug report and the feedback and sorry for the poor experience."This confirms that an official fix is being worked on and is expected in an upcoming update. However, as of May 29, 2025, there is no specific information on when this update will be released. Therefore, patience is key.
