How to Download and Install the Multiplayer Mod in Hollow Knight: Silksong

The mod you need to play Silksong in co-op is called Silkless, which is available for free from the Nexus Mods website. It enables you to invite a friend and play the campaign together.Before you begin, you must ensure you have BepInEx 5 installed, as the mod relies on this framework to run within the game.

Installation Steps

Download the Mod: Download the Silkless mod from its page on the Nexus Mods website.

Extract the Files: Once the download is complete, extract the contents of the zip file. You should find two main files: SilklessCoop.cfg and SilklessCoop.dll.

Locate Game Folders: Navigate to your game's installation directory. The standard path is Hollow Knight Silksong > BepInNex.

Paste Files:

• Copy the SilklessCoop.cfg file and paste it into the config folder within the BepInNex directory.
• Copy the SilklessCoop.dll file and paste it into the plugins folder within the BepInNex directory.

Launch and Activate: Launch the game. Once you are in a save file, press the F5 key to activate the multiplayer mode.

How to Play

The mod offers two primary methods for playing with a friend.

Via Steam

If both you and your friend own the Steam version of the game, the process is straightforward:

• Press F5 to enable the Silkless mod in your game.
• Open your Steam friends list and invite your friend directly to join your game.
• This method uses Steam's built-to-in peer-to-peer connection for a simple and direct multiplayer experience.

Without Steam (Hosting a Server)
