📍 Where to Find the Simple Key

You can purchase the Simple Key from the merchant Pebb in Bone Bottom for 500 Rosaries. That’s a steep price early on, so unless you’ve found a reliable farming spot, you might want to wait until you’ve unlocked the dash/sprint ability to make collecting Rosaries easier. Alternatively, there’s a second Simple Key hidden in Sinner’s Road, but it requires completing a tough platforming challenge. For most players, buying the key from Bone Bottom is the more straightforward option.

🚪 Where to Use the Simple Key

The Simple Key unlocks a gate leading to the Wormways, a secret area filled with new challenges and rewards. You’ll gain access to this gate after defeating the Moss Mother boss and entering The Marrow.

Here’s how to reach the locked gate:

Head to the upper part of The Marrow and turn left into Mosshome.

Fight or avoid the pilgrim enemies in the room.

At the far end, hit the lever to open a gate below.

Drop down and turn left into a new area.

Fall through the first gap you see to reach a room with another lever—flip it to lower an elevator for a shortcut.

Return to the upper platforms and jump across to the other side.

• If you don’t have the dash or Drifter’s Cloak, you’ll need to pogo jump off flying enemies to cross. It’s tricky, but doable.

In the next room, dodge the acid-pouring enemy on the ceiling. You can sprint past or hide under platforms.

At the end, you’ll find the locked gate. Use the Simple Key to unlock it.

Once opened, the gate leads into the Wormways, a claustrophobic tunnel system that connects to deeper regions like the Chapel of the Wanderer. Inside, you’ll find new quests, shortcuts, and even rare items like the Wanderer’s Crest.
