This will pull up the Health and Ammo menu, while under it is the Snacks option. Once you've chosen a snack, your character will start an eating animation. This needs to be fully completed before your character's health initiates their regeneration cycle.

The update provided, as part of the Criminal Enterprises Update, was one of the major gameplays. This adds a quick-eat snack feature. Now, one can get back into the heat of battle in quite a rush by rolling up to the weapon wheel (L1/LB/TAB) and then pressing up to select the "eat snack" option. By doing this, there is no more animation needed for eating the snack, which was rather time-consuming and undesirable during a heavy firefight.
