How to Play Cayo Perico Zombie Survival in GTA Online

While Grand Theft Auto Online is most famous for its heists and criminal enterprises, new modes like Cayo Perico Zombie Survival are giving players new ways to experience familiar locations. This new permanent mode takes the classic wave-based defense gameplay and adds a dark, unexpected twist to the sunny island of Cayo Perico.This guide will walk you through how to access the Cayo Perico Zombie Survival mode and detail the rewards you can earn for fighting off the hordes of the undead.

What is Cayo Perico Zombie Survival?

Cayo Perico Zombie Survival is a new Survival playlist that pits you and up to three other players against ten waves of undead enemies on the island of Cayo Perico. The enemies are more than just typical zombies; you'll face unique variants like machete-wielding Conquistadors, feral panthers with their trainers, and other mutated creatures. The objective is to survive all ten waves and make it to the airstrip to escape the island.

How to Access the Cayo Perico Zombie Survival Mode

You can jump into the Cayo Perico Zombie Survival mode just like any other playlist in GTA Online. There are two main ways to start the fun:

• From Your In-Game Phone: Open your phone in the game and select the "Quick Job" app. From there, you can choose the "Cayo Perico Series" playlist to be matched withother players.
• From the Map: Travel to the Los Santosairport. On your map, you will find a small, palm tree-shaped icon thatwill launch the "Cayo Perico Series" for you to start the mission.

This mode is a permanent addition to GTA Online, so you can play it anytime, either with a group of friends or bymatchmaking with randoms. You can even choose to play the mode solo ifyou want to test your survival skills alone.

Bonus Rewards and Unlocks

To celebrate the launch of the new mode, Rockstar Games is offering special limited-time bonus rewards for all players.

• Double GTA$ & RP: Through September 10, 2025, all players can earn Double GTA$ and RP for playing the Cayo Perico Series. If you are a GTA+ member, you will receive a massive Quadruple bonus on your rewards.
• The Buccaneer Outfit & GTA$100,000: Anyone who successfully completes all ten waves of the Cayo Perico Zombie Survival mode before September 10, 2025, will be rewarded with the exclusive Buccaneer outfit and a bonus GTA$100,000.
• "I Survived Cayo Perico" Tee: Even if you miss the limited-time bonus window, you can still earn apermanent reward. By simply playing Cayo Perico Zombie Survival for thefirst time, you will automatically unlock the "I Survived Cayo Perico" Tee, which will be delivered to your in-game wardrobe.
