No matter what it is, computers, mobile phones,
reality helmets, meals, infrastructure everything evolves, even us humans and the developer of virtual reality technologies
Oculus VR, is not lagging behind either.
Recently Oculus made the launch of its new VR headset the Oculus Rift S.
If there is something to understand is that
Oculus Rift S, it is not
Oculus Rift 2, it is the evolution of virtual reality hardware, but the fact that it is evolution does not mean that it has nothing to do with the successor.
Oculus will seek to progressively eliminate the Rift in the future.

If you have planned to buy a virtual reality headset, then the first thing you should keep in mind is that the Oculus Rift S works for PC and the Oculus Quest more mobile. You should also consider purchasing the
Oculus Rift while on the market.
All this could generate a mental image of a boxing ring between
Oculus Rift S vs.
Rift vs. Quest, where the virtual reality helmets are fighting to decide who wins. But we are going to eliminate this and we are going to make the decision something simpler, we bring you what are the advantages and disadvantages of each one and the characteristics of the same ones below:
Rift S vs Quest:
Oculus Rift S and
Oculus Quest, have several things in common, such as the same game platform which will play most, if not all, of the same titles and also have a shared software experience.
And although the two helmets can look quite similar for their matte black colors, the biggest difference between them is maneuverability.
Oculus Rift S, will still have to remain connected to the PC because it has no built-in GPU this although it no longer needs external monitoring stations an equal problem has the
Oculus Rift.
For its part
Quest does not need to be connected to anything.
Quest has also made improvements in comfort by adding materials such as fabric and rubber straps to achieve a better fit.
But, if we talk about comfort, then we can say that
Oculus Rift S is the most comfortable of the three, this thanks to its new shape of halo that is adjusted by turning a button on the back of the headset, gets to make players spend more game time without needing to be uncomfortable, but still leaves red marks for prolonged use.
Rift S vs Quest:
Although the new
VR Rift S helmets have cables, this does not limit the movement because not having an integrated GPU generates more space for the head, in addition the new Rift S have a quick-change LCD screen, improved lenses as it is not as reflective as the previous ones and a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Quest will not have the same visual fidelity as the
Rift S, despite being much better in graphic terms, this is because the GPU limitations of the
Quest mean that the textures do not look as sharp as in the
Rift S.
On the other hand,
Oculus Rift has a resolution of 1080 × 1200 pixels per eye and two Pentile OLED screens.
In the second round we go through the games,
Rift S vs.
Quest:
Oculus ensures that
Oculus Rift S is fully compatible with the original
Rift games, the company is also working to get
Rift compatible with almost all the games released for the Rift S and Oculus Quest, so we will see practically the same games in each helmet.
The company has also announced that there will be more than 50 games available on the
Oculus Quest headset at the time of its release.
Of the most interesting things of this lot is "Vader Immortal" a title that plans to take you adventure to the planet Mustafar. On the other hand, ILMxLAB, was working on some Star Wars experience exclusively for
Oculus autonomous headphones.

The company has also already confirmed the search ports of Robo Recall, Dead and Buried, The Unspoken, Dead and Buried II, Face Your Fears, Superhot VR and The Climb that will also support the mobile processor. It is also expected that a few titles will be announced before
Quest enters the market
The original
Rift for its part, already has a good library of titles to choose and enjoy.
In the last round it will be a battle between the three at the same time,
Oculus Rift S vs. Rift vs. Quest. The price of the three helmets turns out to be similar:
Oculus Rift S is priced at $ 50, plus its clear processor, impossible to be so cheap, gives us a total of $ 399.
Quest and Rift S will be released during the spring of this year.
