How To Grow Wheat in Foundation

Learn essential tips on how to grow wheat successfully with our comprehensive guide.

In Foundation, ensuring your villagers have access to food is essential for their well-being and productivity. Bread, a refined food type, is a good source of sustenance. This guide explains how to produce bread from wheat.

Foundation: How To Grow Wheat

Unlock Farming: You'll need to unlock the Farming option from the Progression menu. It costs 50 gold and becomes available at Progression level 10 or higher. Unlocking Farming grants access to the Wheat Farm, Windmill, and Bakery buildings.

Build a Wheat Farm: Construct a Wheat Farm in your village.

Assign Farmers: Assign up to three farmers to the Wheat Farm to maximize production.

Define Farming Area: Use the "Paint Farming Area" tool to designate the land to be cultivated. The game will provide feedback on the optimal area size depending on the number of assigned farmers. A larger area allows for more wheat to be grown.

Alternative Wheat Source (Trade): Once you've established a trade route with the Myddle Kingdom, you can purchase wheat directly from them via the Resources menu. This can be a convenient way to supplement your own wheat production or avoid the need for dedicated farmland if space is limited.

Producing Bread:

Build a Windmill:Construct a Windmill to process the harvested wheat into flour. Theconversion rate is 4 wheat = 1 flour. Consistent wheat production iscrucial for maintaining a steady supply of flour.

Build a Bakery: Build a Bakery. This is where the flour is transformed into bread. The recipe for bread is 3 flour + 1 water = 5 loaves of bread.

Water Source: The Bakery requires water to produce bread. A nearby well will provide a sufficient water source for the Bakery.

Granary Storage: Designate a Granary to store the produced bread.

Market Stalls: Ensurethat market stalls are stocked with bread so that your villagers canpurchase it and satisfy their food needs. Villagers will automaticallyvisit market stalls to buy necessary goods. A well-supplied market iskey to a happy and productive populace.
