Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 has officially landed, plunging players headfirst into an exhilarating superhero-themed adventure. This season boasts iconic collaborations with DC characters like Superman, a vibrant Battle Pass brimming with exclusive rewards, and a wide array of unique gameplay mechanics designed to elevate the battle royale experience. With impressive new Points of Interest (POIs) such as the bustling Supernova Academy and the debut of wild, game-changing gadgets like the Bass Boost, many are hailing this season as potentially the best Chapter 6 has delivered yet. While the season introduces a host of fresh features and gameplay mechanics, some familiar elements are making a grand return, albeit with a new twist. One constant throughout Chapter 6 has been
Sprites, the colorful elemental critters that have roamed the island since Season 1. However, with Season 3, they've received a significant upgrade. Here's where to find the all-new
Dash and
Superman Sprites in Fortnite, and how to harness their unique powers.
Fortnite : Find Dash & Superman Sprites
While both Dash Sprites and Superman Sprites can be found scattered randomly across the Fortnite island, the most reliable and efficient way to locate them is by visiting a
Sprite Shrine. These mystical altars are vital hotspots for discovering nearby Sprites. Interacting with a Shrine will reveal any Sprites in its immediate vicinity, and you'll almost always find several ready for collection near an active Shrine.Sprite Shrines have several potential spawn points across the island. It's important to note that they won't appear in every marked location in each match, but checking these high-probability areas will significantly increase your chances of finding either a Dash or Superman Sprite:
- Southwest of Supernova Academy: A popular drop zone, offering a good chance to find a Shrine early.
- North of Flooded Frogs: Nestled in a more aquatic region, this can be a quieter spot.
- Just northeast of Lonewolf Lair: Near the edge of the wilderness, requiring careful navigation.
- Near the bridge northeast of Shiny Shafts: A strategic point that often sees player traffic.
- East of Brutal Boxcars: A more central location that can be contested.
- On the small island northwest of Demon’s Domain: A more isolated spot, potentially offering less contention.
How To Use Dash & Superman Sprites In Fortnite
Sprites have been a consistent featurethroughout Chapter 6, but their additions in Season 3 truly shake things up with entirely new functionalities. Both the Dash Sprite and theSuperman Sprite introduce unique mechanics that stand out, offeringdistinct tactical advantages.
The Dash Sprite
The Dash Sprite transforms your mobility, offering quick bursts of movement to outmaneuver opponents or traverse terrain.
- Activation: To activate the Dash Sprite, throw it with your fire button. This action creates a glowing zone on the ground.
- Effect: Upon entering this zone, the player is granted three aerial dashes. These dashes are activated by simply pressing the jump button while mid-air, propelling you rapidly in the direction of your current movement input.
- Usage & Cooldown: The Dash Sprite can be thrown up to three times in a match before it's fully consumed. There's a two-second cooldown between each throw, preventing spamming.
- Strategic Value: The Dash Sprite is invaluable for:
- Rapid repositioning: Quickly moving out of enemy sightlines or into better cover.
- Aggressive pushes: Closing distances on opponents swiftly and unexpectedly.
- Evasive maneuvers: Dodging incoming projectiles or escaping storm damage.
- Vertical mobility: Gaining height quickly or crossing wide gaps.
The Superman Sprite
The Superman Sprite brings raw offensive power, allowing players to unleash iconic laser vision upon their enemies and structures.
- Function: Unlike the Dash Sprite, the Superman Sprite functions much more like a weapon.
- Activation: Pressing the fire button while holding the Superman Sprite unleashes a continuous beam of laser vision.
- Effect: This laser vision deals continuous tick damage to both enemies and structures, making it formidable for suppressing opponents, breaking down builds, or finishing off low-health players.
- Ammo & Cooldown: It comes with a total of 75 "ammo," indicated by a depletion bar displayed on your reticle. When this bar completely empties, the Superman Sprite enters an 8-second cooldown, during which it cannot be used.
- Limited Use: Once all 75 units of ammo are expended, the Superman Sprite becomes permanently unusable for that match. Players will need to find a new one to utilize its laser vision again.
- Strategic Value: The Superman Sprite is excellent for:
- Sustained pressure: Keeping enemies pinned down or forcing them out of cover.
- Breaking builds: Quickly dismantling enemy fortifications, especially those of wood or brick.
- Finishing off enemies: Applying continuous damage to opponents who are trying to heal or escape.
- Area denial: Discouraging pushes through specific chokepoints.
Offering Sprites at Shrines: Valuable Loot Rewards
Beyond their direct utility, both Sprites offer an additional layer ofstrategic depth: they can be offered at a Sprite Shrine for a chance atvaluable loot and powerful buffs.
- Shrine Interaction: You can take either a Dash Sprite or a Superman Sprite to any Sprite Shrine for a shot at enhanced rewards.
- Offering Mechanic: Only one Sprite can be offered per Shrine per match. To activate the reward, you need to interact with the Shrine while thedesired Sprite is in your inventory. The loot received depends entirelyon which Sprite you offer:
- Dash Sprite Offering: Grants you a set of Shockwave Grenades, a weapon (typically Epic or Legendary rarity), a unique Combat Acrobat Boon, and notably, you receive a Dash Sprite in return. This allows you to gain the Boon and fresh items without losing your valuable Dash Sprite.
- Superman Sprite Offering: Grants you a consumable (like a Chug Jug or Shield Potions), a weapon (also typically Epic or Legendary rarity), a powerful Heightened Senses Boon, and you also receive a Superman Sprite in return.
- Understanding Boons: Boons are powerful, persistent buffs that last for the remainder of the match, providing passive advantages:
- Combat Acrobat Boon: Likely enhances mobility or agility in combat (e.g., faster movement while shooting, improved jump height).
- Heightened Senses Boon: Likely improves awareness (e.g., visual cues for nearby enemies, improved hearing range).
The new Dash and Superman Sprites are integral to Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3's meta, offering unparalleled mobility, offensivecapabilities, and valuable rewards through the Sprite Shrines. Mastertheir use, and you'll undoubtedly gain a significant edge in yourpursuit of Victory Royales.
