How to Get the Free Blitz Pickaxe in Fortnite

Fortnite continues to deliver fresh content, from new items and gameplay updates to unique limited-time modes. The latest sensation, Blitz Royale, offers a fast-paced, five-minute Zero Build battle royale experience with exciting modifiers like random Medallions, Boons, and Mythics. To celebrate the mode's success and upcoming content, players have the opportunity to claim a free cosmetic: the Blitz Pickaxe.

How to Get the Free Blitz Pickaxe in Fortnite

The Blitz Pickaxe is a complimentary reward available as part of the Blitz Boon Bonanza update for Blitz Royale. Unlike many other free rewards in Fortnite that require completing quests or achieving Victory Royales, obtaining the Blitz Pickaxe is remarkably simple.

• Log In to Fortnite: All you need to do is log in to Fortnite at any point between July 15, 2025, at 12 PM ET, and July 29, 2025, at 9 AM ET.
• Automatic Unlock: Once you log in during this specified window, the Blitz Pickaxe will be automatically unlocked and added to your Locker, ready for you to equip and use.

This limited-time offer coincides with the return of Mega City toBlitz Royale. While the Blitz 'Brella (a glidier) was previouslyavailable by earning Victory Royales in Blitz Royale until July 15, theBlitz Pickaxe is a separate, login-based reward.

Important Note: Some players initially reported not receiving the Blitz Pickaxe immediately after logging in on July 15. This was an unintentional issue that Epic Games has since addressed. The reward should now be granted as intended upon login.

While there's no official confirmation yet on whether the Blitz Pickaxe willreturn after its free offering concludes on July 29, it's possible that, like many other cosmetic rewards in Fortnite, it could appear in theItem Shop for V-Bucks at a later date. So, make sure to log in beforethe deadline to claim it for free!
