Dive into the FNAF 1 Remake and unlock its secret ending! Explore the eerie world of Five Nights at Freddy's and reveal thrilling hidden surprises.
The FNAF 1 Remake, a fan-made remaster of the original Five Nights at Freddy's, delivered a terrifying analog-horror experience with a surprisingly meta narrative. True to the FNAF tradition, it also features a hidden secret ending, the "Red Star" ending, tucked away behind a series of intriguing steps and challenges. This guide will walk you through the process of unlocking this special conclusion.
FNAF 1 Remake: get the secret ending
Step 1: Obtain the Standard 1-Star Ending
Before you can even begin to pursue the secret "Red Star" ending, you must first achieve the game's regular 1-star ending. This process is fairly standard for FNAF fan games:
Survive All Five Nights: You need to successfully make it through all five in-game nights, from 12 AM to 6 AM, while fending off the reimagined animatronics from the original Five Nights at Freddy's.Night 5 Twist: Once you reach 4 AM on Night 5, the game's host, Buddy, takes a dark turn, reminiscent of "Just Monika" from Doki Doki Literature Club. He will prevent you from finishing the night normally.Night 6: Buddy Encounter: After a creepy sequence, you'll be thrust into Night 6, where you must face Buddy himself in his unsettling form. Utilize all the strategies and tricks you've learned from the previous nights to survive until 6 AM.Unlock the 1-Star Ending: Successfully surviving Night 6 will grant you the standard 1-star ending, which is the prerequisite for unlocking the secret ending.Step 2: Unlocking the Secret Room and the Marionette

Focus on the Top Right: After beating the game, pay close attention to the top right corner of the game window.Fiddle in the Extras Menu: You will need to interact or "fiddle around" within the Extras menu. The exact interaction might involve clicking, hovering, or a specific sequence of actions. Experiment within the Extras menu.Window Name Change: Eventually, your interaction in the Extras menu will cause the game window's name to change from "FNAF 1 Remake" to "FIND ME, I'M WAITING FOR YOU."Title Screen Change: After the window name changes, head back to the title screen. The title screen's text should now have changed to "THE ANSWER IS HERE, FIND IT."Locate the Hidden Door Icon: Look carefully at the bottom left corner of the title screen. You should be able to spot a small, black door icon hidden in this area.Enter the Secret Room: Click on the hidden black door icon. This will transport you to a secret room where you will encounter a hooded version of the Marionette. The Marionette's Plea: The Marionette will explain that Buddy has trapped them and the otheranimatronics within the game. However, there is still a chance foreveryone to escape. The Marionette will task you with collecting five hidden objects scattered throughout the Pizzeria so they can perform a ritual to free Buddy's captives.
Step 3: Collecting the Five Hidden Artifacts (Eyes)
Each of the first five nights now has a hidden artifact – a "jittering,photo-realistic eye" – located on one of the Pizzeria's camera feeds. You don't need to replay the entire game. You can use the Night Selection option in the Extras menu to jump directly to each night and find its hidden object. The gamewill automatically save once you collect an artifact, so you can exitout and move to the next night.
Here are the locations of all five hidden objects:
Night | Hidden Object Location |
| Night 1 | Camera 06, in the middle of the light. |
| Night 2 | Camera 07, on the floor in the hallway. |
| Night 3 | Camera 04, near the drawings. |
| Night 4 | Camera 05, in the corner where the walls meet. |
| Night 5 | Camera 06, on the poster. |
Step 4: The Marionette's Final Task: The Pixelated Minigame
Once you have successfully collected all five hidden artifacts, return tothe Marionette's secret room by clicking the black door icon on thetitle screen again.
Hand Over the Artifacts: Interact with the Marionette to give them the five collected objects. The Final Task: The Marionette will then present you with your final task: you need to delve into the game's raw data and play a pixelated minigame. The Minigame: In this minigame, your objective is to collect all the balloons you see and reach the end of the hallway. You must also avoid Buddy, who will periodically appear.Buddy's Warning: Whenever Buddy is about to appear, the game will give you a 10-second countdown. When you see this countdown, you need to quickly duck into the nearest patch of black pixels on the screen to avoid being caught by Buddy.Survive the Minigame: Successfully navigate the hallway, collect all the balloons, and avoid Buddy until you reach the end.
Step 5: The Red Star and the Special Surprise
Once you have successfully beaten the pixelated minigame, you will be rewarded with a special surprise from the developer, which the guide intentionally does not spoil.
After completing the minigame and experiencing the surprise, head back to the title screen. You will now see that you have earned a shiny red star displayed on the title screen, commemorating your successful unlocking of the secret ending.
Congratulations on uncovering the deep secrets of the FNAF 1 Remake and earning thecoveted Red Star ending! Enjoy the meta conclusion and thedeveloper's unique surprise.
