The first thing you have to do if you are wondering how to research updates in Evil Genius 2 is to access the scientists in your base, which you can train from your general group of minions after you have completed the side mission and the plan from the beginning to kidnap one.Then you will have to build Scientific Trainers in your Training Room so that your Minions can become scientists.
When you have some scientists in your lair, you will have to make sure you give them a lab they can work in. In case you are in the tutorial, you will be able to build a basic laboratory after having obtained your first scientist. To start the upgrade research, in the first part of the game, you will have to build at least a whiteboard, a data bank, and an impact analyzer.
You will need one scientist per device in your lab, but only for devices used in research. If you are researching something that requires the board, you won't have to increase the count of scientists if you only have one.
At the beginning of the game, almost all the updates will be tied to the board, so if you want to get a solid advantage you will have to build four.
That is, you will receive a research multiplier for each associated device and the scientist who works it. Therefore, we recommend that you start with four slates and expand to two databases and impact analyzers and start working on the research updates that require them.
