It's built upon the in-house Holistic engine, built specifically for the Keen Games massive open-world survival game Enshrouded. For the best results, Enshrouded uses a rather aggressive combative TAA method-standard amongst most modern engines, really-to combat aliasing and upscaling technologies. So, no matter what preset you use or whatever is set as default, the presentation may look a bit blurry. How To Fix Enshrouded the Blurry Visuals?

As it is mitigated by the underlying TAA employed for aliasing prevention, the blurriness will be even at all resolutions unless otherwise changed in Enveloped graphics settings from their original state. Fortunately, the blur can then be theoretically removed completely through tweaking of the graphics settings and no changes will be noticed in the speed.

Place 50% on the Sharpness Slider.

Just below the Field of View slider in the Display options is a Sharpness slider. Like many other recent PC releases, the slider should be set to a figure of 30 or 50% when players choose DLSS or DLAA.

This one setting alone-at a value above 30%-significantly cleans up picture clarity in our tests of Enshrouded. Here's a zoomed-in comparison of the sharpness slider in action in Enshrouded at 1440p with DLAA enabled and the maximum available in-game settings. On the left, the sharpness slider is set to its default value of 0% while on the right it is 50%.

In this case, it's more pronounced when moving, especially when TAA shots tend to resolve into a standing position. Compare the left screenshot, with fuzzy, unresolved foliage, to the right image. Clouds and foliage are sharper and clearer in the right image. If you set the above slider to 50%, you should immediately notice a big improvement in the character's grass, trees, as well as their hair and clothes.

Double-check the Scale Resolution Value

This is another confusing default number - when I tried to play at 1440p, the resolution scaling was set to 75%. The blurred output image here is because the game really was rendering at 1080p, not its internal 1920 x 1080.

To prevent the game from automatically downsampling the resolution you select, ensure this is set to 100%.

In general, if you want to get the clearest picture possible when using Enshrouded, you will be required to tinker with sharpness and resolution scale. Thanks to Enshrouded's dynamic options panel, a setting's effect is immediately visible in real time, which is a huge help.

I don't see much difference; the other options have been tried, which, though affecting the visuals, wouldn't greatly change the picture quality. The game looks decent even on the lowest preset with the right resolution scale and sharpness value.
