The Elders show up starting at the beginning of each Chapter in Dynasty Warriors Origins. For the most part, they are easier to find than some of the collectibles in other titles within the series. There is, however, one significant exception: in order to reach Chapter 3's Elder, specific missions need to be completed to unlock a port. This happens before the critical mission where you can change the course of history by saving Sun Jian from his fate.
Mastering these Battle Arts will give you an edge to beat down those foes, especially if you haven't defeated Lu Bu yet or are playing the game on a higher difficulty. Make sure you enter the equip menu as soon as you pick these up.
- Chapter 1 – In Jing Province, to the west of Wan Castle, there's an Elder fishing by the serenity of the south lake. Get the Battle Arts Tome "Sword": Mad Blade Rush from him.
- Chapter 2 – At the very start, the Elder is waiting for you in the Yu Province, in the northeastern corner of the map. Unlock the Battle Arts Tome "Sword": Spree of Devastation.
- Chapter 3 - Elder: You can find the Elder in Xiangyang, opposite the Caiyang Port in Jing Province. You must've had completed The Battle of Fan Castle in the Sun story of Chapter 3 in order to meet the Elder and get Battle Arts Tome "Sword": Flying Dragon Slash.
- Chapter 4 – Cross the river near Chibi in Yang Province and look around Chaisang to find the Elder. He will have the Battle Arts Tome "Sword": Divine Eagle Dance.
