To encounter, conquer, and transform into Godzilla in Fortnite, you must find a unique portal that will randomly emerge on the map. Keep in mind that the portal may not show up in every match, so don’t feel let down if it doesn’t appear right away. You’ll receive a notification just before it appears, prompting you to rush to the area without delay.
If you recall the Doom spawn island from last year, the scenario will be quite alike. A portal will emerge at random during gameplay, alerting all players on the island. It will be a thrilling dash to the portal's location, where the first to step through will earn the title of Godzilla.
As Godzilla, you'll possess unique abilities that will aid you in overcoming your fellow players–
- Roar enables you to uncover nearby players.
- Stomp Attack unleashes powerful damage, propelling foes in every direction.
- Heat Ray is your ultimate tool for incinerating obstacles, whether they’re players or structures, that stand in your path.
In each match, only one player can ascend to the role of Godzilla. If you're not the first to step through the portal, you'll need to bide your time for the next opportunity to unleash his formidable powers. Once you transform into Godzilla, the whole lobby will be targeting you. Your abilities will enable you to conquer every opponent in your path, but should they choose to unite against you, your reign as Godzilla could be cut short.
Players have the opportunity to target your vulnerable areas for increased damage or attempt to dislodge Godzilla’s fragments to restore health and acquire three Dash charges. The Dash ability enables them to evade your Heat Ray and Stomp Attacks when they venture too near. Upon your defeat, the player who inflicts the highest damage on Godzilla will earn the coveted Godzilla’s Medallion, granting them the dash ability for the remainder of the match. They also get their hands on a rare and exotic Burst Quad Launcher.
Be the first to step through the portal the moment it appears. Grab some traversal items or a vehicle right after you land to ensure your advantage. Listen out for the notification and find the icon on the map to get there fast!
