In
Dying Light: The Beast, crafting is a cornerstone of survival, and you'll find yourself needing a vast quantity of materials to create essential items.
Rags are one of the most fundamental resources in the game, used in a wide range of recipes from healing items like bandages to throwables like Molotovs. While they are a common item, their high demand can quickly deplete your stock.Fortunately, there are several reliable ways to farm Rags and ensure you're never caught without the materials you need.
Best Rag Locations and Farming Methods
Rags can be found everywhere in the game's world, but some locations and methods are more efficient than others.
- Looting Bodies: The most basic way to get Rags is by looting the bodies of slainenemies. Both infected and human bandits can drop Rags, so make it ahabit to check every corpse after a fight. This provides a steady, passive income of Rags that will add up over time.
- Dark Zones: For more concentrated farming, Dark Zones are your best bet. These are zombie-infested buildings that contain awealth of loot. While most Dark Zones have a variety of items, some arespecifically designated for certain resources. You can identify whichones are good for Rags by hovering over their icon on the map. If yousee an icon that looks like white sheets, you're likely to find a significant number of Rags inside.
- The Vanity Store Dark Zone: A particularly good early-game location for farming Rags is the Vanity Store Dark Zone in the Old Town region. This area is easily accessible once you'vecompleted the initial quests and is a great place to stock up oncrafting materials.
- Buy from Vendors: If you're in apinch and need Rags immediately, you can purchase them from vendors inmajor settlements. The Town Hall in Old Town has a resource vendor whosells a variety of crafting materials, including Rags. While this is the fastest way to get what you need, it's also the most expensive and canquickly drain your Old World Money, so it's best to rely on this methodonly when necessary.
- Looting Containers: Inside ofbuildings, especially Dark Zones, be sure to open every container yousee, including backpacks, suitcases, and crates. Rags are often found in these containers, so a thorough search will help you maximize yourhaul.
By combining these methods—looting every enemy youdefeat, focusing on Dark Zones that are known to have Rags, and onlybuying them from vendors as a last resort—you can ensure you always have a plentiful supply of this crucial crafting material.
