This effect continues until you either cast another Astral Pillar or move too far away from the active one. Its primary strength lies in its ability to keep enemies off of you through its Taunt, while also dealing a moderate amount of damage to the grouped-up foes. This makes it incredibly effective for managing large pulls and mitigating incoming damage.The utility of the Astral Pillar can be further expanded through the Horadric Spellcraft system by combining it with various Infusions and Arcana. These modifiers allow you to customize the piercing waves to freeze enemies, inflict Stun, execute non-boss enemies, grant you the Unhindered status (allowing you to move through enemies unhindered), and much more. Diablo 4 : Get Astral Pillar in Season 9

You can acquire the Astral Pillar Horadric spell in Diablo 4 Season 9 by completing the seasonal quest "Bearing the Weight of Ghosts." This quest is a crucial part of the new Season 9 storyline and servesas the second main quest, directly following "The Embers Yet Smolder."

Here's how to complete "Bearing the Weight of Ghosts" and unlock the Astral Pillar:

Start the Quest: After finishing "The Embers Yet Smolder," return to Bryona in Cerrigar to accept the "Bearing the Weight of Ghosts" quest.

Enter a Nightmare Dungeon and Find a Horadric Strongroom: The quest will direct you to enter a Nightmare Dungeon. Within this dungeon, you'll need to progress until you locate a Horadric Strongroom.

• Finding a Strongroom: Look for a distinct Horadric Gateway within the Nightmare Dungeon. Activating it will trigger an ambush, and upon defeating the monsters, a Horadric Portal will appear, transporting you into the Strongroom.
• Tip: Using Nightmare Sigils with a "Horadric Strongroom" affix can guarantee their appearance, and higher difficulty tiers may also increase theirfrequency.

Clear the Strongroom and Acquire the Blood Relic: Inside the Horadric Strongroom, your objective is to clear out all theenemies and defeat the boss that spawns. Upon doing so, you will be able to retrieve a Blood Relic.

Return to Bryona: Once you have the Blood Relic, return to Bryona in Cerrigar and speak with her to complete "Bearing the Weight of Ghosts."

Upon the successful completion of this quest, you will be rewarded with the Astral Pillar Catalyst spell, immediately adding it to your Horadric Spellcraft options. You will also receive the Corrosive Vapor Infusion as part of this quest's rewards, which pairs well for a poison-based defensive build.
