How To Complete Cache Claimer in Diablo 4

Diablo 4's Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim, launched on July 1, 2025, introduces a host of new content, including the Horadric Spellcraft system and a fresh Season Journey. Completing the Season Journey is not only a great way to progress your character but also offers valuable XP and rewards, such as the Dante the Dog Pet from Chapter 6. One of the objectives that players might find particularly tedious is "Cache Claimer."

Diablo 4: How To Complete Cache Claimer

The "Cache Claimer" objective is found in Chapter 6 (Champion) of the Season Journey. It requires players to assist the Tree of Whispers by collecting and opening specific types of Bounty Caches. The full list of requirements is:

• Open any Weapon Bounty Caches (2)
• Open any Armor Bounty Caches (5)
• Open any Ancestral Bounty Cache (1)
• Open any Jewelry Bounty Caches (3)
• Open any Chaos Bounty Cache (1)
• Open Greater Collection of Gold, Material, or Gems Bounty Caches (3)

Successfully completing this objective contributes to finishing Chapter 6, which is essential for unlocking rewards like the Dante the Dog Pet.

How To Quickly Complete Cache Claimer Objective in Diablo 4

Traditionally, acquiring Bounty Caches involves collecting 10 GrimFavors by completing bounties for the Tree of Whispers, and then turning them in at the Raven of the Tree or Tree of Whispers. Upon turning inGrim Favors, you are presented with a choice of three different caches:Normal, Greater, or Ancestral. The type of cache (Weapon, Armor,Jewelry, Gold, etc.) will be specified, and the rarity (Normal, Greater, Ancestral) is indicated by its color and text (e.g., Ancestral cachesoften have orange text and a star icon). Ancestral caches, inparticular, are quite rare and require some luck to appear as a rewardoption.

However, there's a clever workaround that significantlyspeeds up the "Cache Claimer" objective, as the game tracks "possession" rather than "opening" for most of these requirements:

The Drop-and-Pick-Up Trick:

Instead of grinding for multiple caches of the same type (e.g., five Armor Bounty Caches), you only need to acquire one cache of the corresponding type.

Acquire the Cache: Turn in 10 Grim Favors at the Tree of Whispers and select the desired Bounty Cache (e.g., an "Armor Bounty Cache").

Do NOT Open It.

Drop It: Drag the cache from your inventory onto the ground.

Pick It Up: Immediately pick the cache back up. This action will increment thecounter for that specific cache type in your Season Journey objective.

Repeat: Continue to drop and pick up the same cache as many times as needed tofulfill the objective's requirement (e.g., for "Open any Armor BountyCaches (5)", you would pick it up a total of five times, or four moretimes after the initial acquisition).

This method worksfor the Weapon, Armor, Jewelry, and Greater Collection ofGold/Material/Gems Bounty Caches. For the single Ancestral and Chaoscaches, you only need to acquire them once.

By using this trick,you can quickly complete the Cache Claimer objective, saving asignificant amount of time and effort that would otherwise be spentrepeatedly farming Grim Favors and hoping for specific cache drops.
