How to open Overthrow Chests in Destiny 2?

Overthrow chests will appear at the end of the main challenges in The Pale Heart, a new in-game location in The Final Shape. This is a fun event that will present you with a variety of challenges, so some complications may arise. For the Convalescence quest, be sure to go to the Landing, which is where the Pale Heart map begins. To make sure Overthrow is active in the area, make sure the orange icon that looks like a map marker is present and then hover over it.

When you charge, take out your Ghost and look around you. The image above shows a blue waypoint commonly used to mark missions. You will find one of the many challenges that will be presented to you there. This could include escorting Thrall, killing ogres, breaking crystals to free enemies and kill them, or combining Hive runes using the incredible power of energy orbs. There are too many varieties here to go into detail, but you should be able to easily understand what to do and if you have any doubts, shoot!

Upon completing any challenge, a chest will appear that you can open, and this will become one of your overthrow chests. Random ogre bosses can also appear in the area that is not related to the overthrow progression, but they still drop overthrow chests, so kill someone if you see it.

Now it must be taken into account that the common chests that appear in the area during the overthrow will not be counted. They are just random loot chests and are not connected to the mode. The more chests you open, the more difficult the Overthrow event becomes. The first two will represent 15% of your progress. The next two will have a higher value, and so on. If you stay in the event for all of them, you only need to open five, and you can do this fairly easily because dying won't reset progress on the challenges.

This is all there is to consider about opening overthrow chests, you just have to do it and get the most out of these game elements that bring us important rewards.
