In Destiny 2's The Edge of Fate expansion, Guardians can earn powerful new Exotic armor pieces for each of the three classes by completing the main campaign on Legendary difficulty. These Exotics are designed to significantly enhance specific class abilities, opening up new build possibilities.Here's a breakdown of each new Exotic armor piece, how to get it, and its unique perk:

Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate: New Exotic Armour Pieces

To acquire any of these new Exotic armor pieces, you must complete all 14 story missions of The Edge of Fate campaign on Legendary difficulty. The missions are:
  • The Invitation
  • Fallow
  • Nostos
  • Commencement
  • Saturnism
  • Transient
  • Gouge
  • Morphology
  • Charge
  • Disruption
  • Calculus
  • Quarantine
  • Criticality
  • The Message
    • Upon successfully finishing the entire campaign on Legendary, you will be rewarded with the Exotic armor piece specific to the character class you played. If you want all three, you'll need to complete the Legendary campaign on a Titan, a Hunter, and a Warlock.

    New Exotic Armor Pieces and Their Perks

    Melas Panoplia (Titan Exotic Gauntlets)

    • Class: Titan
    • Armor Type: Gauntlets
    • Exotic Perk: Forge Master

      • Effect: Collecting a Firesprite or landing rapid Solar final blows makes you a Forge Master.2 While in this state, you gain the ability to recall your Throwing Hammer directly to you.
      • Perfect Recall: If you recall your hammer at full intensity after it has impacted an enemy, you perform a Perfect Recall.3 This creates a powerful fiery explosion of forge slag at the hammer's location, dealing significant bonus damage.
      • Sustain: Performing Perfect Recalls and collecting Firesprites helps extend theduration of your Forge Master state, allowing for continuous powerfulhammer throws and explosions.
    • Build Synergy: This Exotic is a dream come true for Solar Titans, transforming theThrowing Hammer into a devastating, recallable projectile that can clear adds and deal burst damage. It synergizes incredibly well with aspectslike Sol Invictus and Roaring Flames, as well as fragments that increase Scorch, Ignition radius, and extend Restoration/Radiant buffs.

    Moirai (Hunter Exotic Chest Armor)

    • Class: Hunter
    • Armor Type: Chest Armor
    • Exotic Perk: Webcatcher

      • Effect: Your Threaded Spike (Strand melee ability) gains a significant upgrade. It can now bounce off Tangles, causing them to detonate and immediately return to you.
      • Tangle Reuse: When your Threaded Spike detonates a Tangle, the Tangle is rewoven andautomatically retrieved by your Spike, essentially allowing you to chain Tangle explosions.
      • Melee Energy Refund: If your Threaded Spike hits a target but there's no Tangle nearby tointeract with, it will still refund extra melee energy upon return.
    • Build Synergy: Moirai is designed to amplify Strand Hunter builds, particularly those focused on Tangle generation and manipulation. It allows for rapid Tangle detonations, continuous melee uptime, andincreased area control, making it powerful for both add clear andsingle-target damage when used effectively.

    Eunoia (Warlock Exotic Gauntlets)

    • Class: Warlock
    • Armor Type: Gauntlets
    • Exotic Perk: Consul’s Pitch

      • Effect: This Exotic enhances your Solar Hellion ability (the Solar mortar that shoots flaming projectiles). Hellion projectiles become more powerful the farther they travel.
      • Scorching Shrapnel: At maximum range, or after traveling a certain distance, these projectiles will fracture into scorching shrapnel upon landing, burning everything nearby. The longer the projectile stays in the air, the more damage it ultimately deals and the wider the shrapnel spread.
    • Build Synergy: Eunoia transforms the Hellion into a long-range, area-denial weapon. It's excellent for clearing large groups of enemies from a distance,applying widespread Scorch, and creating Ignitions. It integrates wellwith Solar Warlock builds focused on offensive abilities and can alsofind a place in Prismatic builds that benefit from widespread elementalapplication and chain reactions.
