How to beat Zo’Aurc in Destiny 2 Root of Nightmares

The Root of Nightmares mission in Destiny 2 takes you deep into the depths of the Black Garden. In this mission, you'll face off against a powerful foe named Zo'Aurc. Fortunately, with a little strategy and teamwork, you can defeat him and complete the mission. In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps you need to take to beat Zo'Aurc in Destiny 2 Root of Nightmares.

The first step to defeating Zo’Aurc is the Align the Planets phase. This is a crucial step and can be completed by using the best Void Hunter build. Start by shooting the ads around each planet. Then, line up the light planets to the light planets, and the dark planets to the dark planets. Select whichever planet on the top and bottom platforms does not fit this alignment and it will switch to the appropriate color. This may require a special Guardian with a unique buff in order to complete the matching. When you have achieved the correct order, shoot the pyramid shard in the center and the planets will be perfectly aligned.

Once the planets are aligned, it’s time to move on to the DPS phase. This is where everyone’s best Solar Warlock build comes into play. Have everyone in the team stand in the right position for maximum damage and start dealing damage to the boss. Be sure to use all your abilities in order to maximize the damage output. As the fight progresses, Zo’Aurc will spawn ads that need to be taken out. Make sure to prioritize them over the boss, as they can quickly overwhelm your team.

When the DPS phase is finished, the next phase is the Intermission. This is a brief period where the ads will stop spawning and you will have a chance to revive any fallen Guardians. Make sure to take the opportunity to heal up and prepare for the next phase.

Finally, the last phase is the Final Stand. Here you will have to survive an onslaught of ads while dealing as much damage to Zo’Aurc as possible. This is the most difficult phase of the fight, so make sure to have everyone in the team focusing on taking out the ads before focusing on the boss. When you’ve dealt enough damage, the fight will be over and you will have beaten Zo’Aurc!
