In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps you need to take to beat Zo'Aurc in Destiny 2 Root of Nightmares.

The Root of Nightmares is a raid in Destiny 2 that requires you to defeat the powerful Zo’Aurc. This raid is difficult, but with the right preparations and a good team, you can overcome it. You must align the planets on the left and right sides, before entering the DPS phase and finally taking down Zo’Aurc.
Goal of the Challenge
The goal of the challenge is to defeat Zo’Aurc before the timer runs out. If you do not defeat him in time, you will not earn any rewards. Your team must work together in order to achieve this goal.
Preparations
Before attempting to defeat Zo’Aurc, you must first make sure your team is properly prepared. The first step is to pick the best Void Hunter build. This build should be focused on dealing damage.
Next, you must align the planets on the left and right sides of the map. This is a crucial step in the challenge. If the planets are not aligned properly, you will not be able to enter the DPS phase.
DPS Phase
The first step to defeating Zo’Aurc is the Align the Planets phase. This is a crucial step and can be completed by using the best Void Hunter build. Start by shooting the ads around each planet. Then, line up the light planets to the light planets, and the dark planets to the dark planets. Select whichever planet on the top and bottom platforms does not fit this alignment and it will switch to the appropriate color. This may require a special Guardian with a unique buff in order to complete the matching. When you have achieved the correct order, shoot the pyramid shard in the center and the planets will be perfectly aligned.
Once the planets are aligned, it’s time to move on to the DPS phase. This is where everyone’s best Solar Warlock build comes into play. Have everyone in the team stand in the right position for maximum damage and start dealing damage to the boss. Be sure to use all your abilities in order to maximize the damage output. As the fight progresses, Zo’Aurc will spawn ads that need to be taken out. Make sure to prioritize them over the boss, as they can quickly overwhelm your team.
When the DPS phase is finished, the next phase is the Intermission. This is a brief period where the ads will stop spawning and you will have a chance to revive any fallen Guardians. Make sure to take the opportunity to heal up and prepare for the next phase.
Finally, the last phase is the Final Stand. Here you will have to survive an onslaught of ads while dealing as much damage to Zo’Aurc as possible. This is the most difficult phase of the fight, so make sure to have everyone in the team focusing on taking out the ads before focusing on the boss. When you’ve dealt enough damage, the fight will be over and you will have beaten Zo’Aurc!
The Root of Nightmares is a challenging raid in Destiny 2. However, with the right preparations and a good team, you can take down the powerful Zo’Aurc. Make sure to pick the best Void Hunter build, align the planets on the left and right sides, and focus on dealing damage in the DPS phase. If you do all of these things, you will be able to beat Zo’Aurc and claim your rewards.
