Acquiring the Flux of Darkness or Field of Light Buff: In order to chain together their energy, one Guardian will need to acquire the Flux of Darkness or Field of Light Buff. This buff is acquired by shooting Nezarec’s core with either a Void or Solar weapon. After firing several shots at Nezarec’s core, one of the Guardians will be randomly given the buff and can then begin the chain.
Chain Completion: Once the buff has been acquired and the node has been powered up, the two Guardians must then fire their energy blast at Nezarec’s core in order to complete the chain. This must be done with precision and timing as the energy blast must hit Nezarec’s core at the same time in order to successfully complete the chain. If the two Guardians do not hit Nezarec’s core at the same time, the energy blast will not be powerful enough to defeat Nezarec.

Phases of the Fight

The fight with Nezarec consists of four phases. Each phase has its own mechanics and requirements to move on to the next phase. During the first phase, the team must break the node to progress. In the second phase, Nezarec will summon minions and the team must kill them to progress. In the third phase, Nezarec will use a powerful attack that must be avoided.
