Among these hidden gems is the Ancient Chocolate, also known as the Ancient Sweet, an incredibly elusive item that demands specific choices from previous chapters to obtain. This guide will detail how to acquire this rare item and its effects.

Deltarune: How To Get Ancient Chocolate

The Ancient Chocolate can be found at the beginning of Chapter 4 of Deltarune, specifically within the church sequence. However, its acquisition is gated behind a series of precise prerequisites spanning Chapters 1, 2, and the start of Chapter 4.

Chapter 1 & 2 Prerequisites (Crucial Restrictions):

To be eligible for the Ancient Chocolate, you must adhere to the following strict conditions in earlier chapters:

Chapter 1: You must not touch any trees to obtain Dark Candy. This means avoiding specific interactions that would normally grant you this item.
Chapter 2: You must not go through any trash cans in the Trash Zone. Furthermore, you should not obtain the CD Bagel during this time. If there are any treasure chests that would normally contain a CD Bagel, you must not open them.

Chapter 3 has no specific requirements tied to the Ancient Chocolate, so you can complete it normally.

Chapter 4 Prerequisites (Inventory and Equipment):

Before starting Chapter 4, you must ensure your inventory and equipped items meet these very specific criteria:

Empty Certain Items: You must not have any of the following items in your inventory or inventory storage:
- Dark Candy
- CD Bagel
- Revive Mint
- Revive Dust
- Dark Burger
- DD-Burger
- Tension Bit
- Tension Gem
- Tension Max
Specific Weapons Equipped: You will need to have the following weapons in your hand (equipped by Kris and other active party members as appropriate) before attempting to get the Ancient Chocolate:

How To Use Ancient Chocolate

The Ancient Chocolate can only be used after you return to the Dark World. Its effects vary based on the character consuming it:

Kris: Heals Kris for a substantial 400 HP.
Other Characters (e.g., Susie, Ralsei): Heals them for 40 HP.

In the Dark World, the item will be referred to as the Ancient Sweet.
